You’re referring to a single incident that has since been resolved.

Might work better for you but there are plenty of other places that are much worse.

I have friends who live in Houston who would like to mention the three times in the last ten years where their power was out for multiple days at a time. Usually while it is freezing or over 100F outside.

Remind me which coastal cities are so “wise” as to have a power system that’s immune to hurricanes?
wetbeardhairs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 months ago
Oh fuck off they lost power for over a million people last year because of a cat 1 hurricane that didn’t even directly hit them.

You not only didn’t answer my question but you were extremely rude while not doing it.

It’s funny that the examples listed have nothing to do with hurricanes, and were actually polar vortexes from the north, and just general heat waves. Nothing “extraordinary” other than temperature.
Ulrich@feddit.org 10 months ago
Then you’re mistaken. I’ve already acknowledged the one time power went out due to polar vortex. Heat waves have not taken out power in Houston. The power outages in Houston are caused almost exclusively by hurricanes/tropical storms.
