BroBot9000@lemmy.world 2 days agoFuck being efficient all the time. That’s such a fucking capitalist mindset. That’s the excuse use by the people pushing this slop technology into every aspect of life. It’s designed to remove people from art and to save companies money by removing the human cost.
These “valid uses of Ai” are not valid if they could have just paid someone to do the work.

Are you under the impression that a socialist or communist society would not be in the pursuit of efficiency? Think again. They would merely be making sure the efficiency would not come at the cost of the workers, and put the increased efficiency to use in service of the workers (fewer hours etc).
Efficiency and profitability would absolutely be secondary to actual human needs.
Look around, we aren’t living in a socialist society, Ai isn’t just waiting for some good people to use it. It’s actively being build by the parasite class and used to make the world poorer.

Then I hope to see your ass out in the next few days trimming the grass with tweezers. So we can all laugh at you. Take a lesson from the luddites. They didn’t destroy the Looms because they hated the looms. They destroyed the Looms because the owners sought to cut them out.
A tool is simply a tool. It isn’t good or bad. It’s fashy Tech Bros out for a quick buck that make it bad. Be mad at them. Not the tools. AI isn’t going to make it impossible or undesirable for us to create as we always have. Just the fash.
