One shiny red apple on a pile of rotting fruit does not make an apple pie.
Games as a service was always enshittification wearing trench coat. TF2 and MMOs back in the day were merely bait.
- Comment on Has the live-service dream crashed back down to earth? | Opinion 1 day ago:
Games as a service has always been a scam. They use literally addictive gambling traps to keep people hooked to a money drip feeder with season passes and loot boxes.
All that only to rip the plug out when the servers are on life support.
Avoid them just like preordering. They are no benefit to the players.

You forgot religion on that list. Just as toxic and thought terminating.

That solid but I prefer call it a “synthetic text extruding machine” or better yet call it “a racist pile of linear algebra”

Yes but we still have choices. We have to ditch them altogether. Get rid of operating systems you don’t have control over. Dump services for alternatives that give users the choice.
They exist and are out there. It will be difficult but if we don’t change our habits, nothing will ever change.

Another way for corporations to lie to consumers and fake the quality of their products.
They are so desperate to make the little line go up sharper. SMH
- Comment on You can still enable uBlock Origin in Chrome, here is how 5 days ago:
Stop using chrome on your personal devices already. I understand you can’t change locked in corporations but come on people! Take some damn control back in your life and stop using these abusive programs.
LibreWolf or any other Firefox fork will function with UBlock Origins without any temporary hack arounds.

I ask cause either they have a link to give the artist some credit or they say it’s slop.

Artist link?

All the world’s a stage and here you are playing pretend middle management with racist pile of linear algebra. Adorable.
Here ya go. Lean how to write without a synthetic text extruding machine holding your hand while guzzling more water than Ai fanboys slurping corporates sloppy seconds.
- Comment on Can you see magic eye pictures? 6 days ago:
Here’s another one for ya! If you do it the right way you’ll clearly see the turtles head pop out towards you and with the cross eye way it’s quite difficult to recognize the head when it’s pushed backwards.

- Comment on New research centre to explore how AI can help humans ‘speak’ with pets 1 week ago:
Yes but you don’t have any pretexts of them having a language that can “translated”
I swear this is real. Former work associate was chronically on TikTok and genuinely thought that cats had a language and people/ai are working on translating it. He, and I fucking kid you not, tried a series of meows and hisses trying to communicate with my cats.
I talk with my pets but I have no delusions of them understanding me beyond the non verbal communication and understanding that years of living together will give you.

- Comment on Yet another community about Mod Abuses and Power Trips 1 week ago:
Yeah I block communities I have no interest in participating with.
People also need to remember it’s just number. Magical internet points as they say.
LGBTQ+ should be protected because they are actively being targeted for death threats and persecution. I wouldn’t equate that to some Ai posts getting a few downvotes because the general consensus of Ai is it outputs Slop.
Using bots to downvote is absolutely pathetic but you can’t be online expecting literally every person to agree with you or let alone read every community’s rules before scrolling and voting.
- Comment on Yet another community about Mod Abuses and Power Trips 1 week ago:
Exactly!
Some of the shit getting posted deserves to be downvoted. It’s a feature here for visibility purposes. Pretending it doesn’t exist and banning people that use is just so asinine.
Don’t want downvotes? Go to YouTube and get coddled by the corpos.

If it could be sketchy the public should know about it.
The people that didn’t change their password after it getting leaked should also know about it and update their info.
Whistleblowers like Op are doing the right thing. No blind faith in some dear leader.

- Comment on Can you see magic eye pictures? 1 week ago:
For the cross eye version you just need to hold out the page at normal viewing distance and cross your eyes till the 3d image pops.
Sounds like you are doing it the regular way. Which is the more difficult one for most people that have issues with magic eyes.
Glad you got to experience them!
- Comment on Can you see magic eye pictures? 1 week ago:
Bring the page close to your nose, let your eyes kinda naturally loose focus from distance. Then slowly start to pull the page back and you should get it.
Kinda difficult to describe.
Check back when you are sober and see if you get it to work.

Absolutely loved them as a kid! Had a quite a few books.
You can do them two different ways. The normal way with the objective popping out towards you and an inverted way with crossing your eyes that inverts the shape.

Ai literally makes people dumber:

They are a massive privacy risk:

Are being used to push fascist ideologies into every aspect of the internet:

AND they are a massive environmental disaster:
