        Did you think there has been an ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine for decades?

        It’s always fucking annoying to see what single-issue event will cause all the lazy internet warriors to yell at one another about. Every election year… it’s something new.

        But what’s even more fucking annoying?

        NONE of you gave a single shit about Palestine before last October. NOT ONE OF YOU.

        Lemmy existed before then, and comment histories are public. I’ve yet to see anyone mention or show a shred of a shit given to anyone in Gaza prior to Oct 7th. So spare me the bullshit. Because I’m not buying it.

        There is STILL genocide going on. Are you not aware? You didn’t fucking win anything with your folded arms and smug little pout. It’s all still happening. Only now- another country has lost its democracy.

  It’s still shocking to me that people were stupid enough to believe that Jim Crow Joe would be a remedy for fascism in the first the place.

  It’s doubly shocking to me that you’ve already forgot about Roe v Wade, most deportations in history (even more than now), building and expansion of prisons/cop cities, etc. and then feel entitled enough to be this fucking glib.

  You have not been paying attention. If you believe in electoralism then stop punching down and redirect your rage at those who actually have power to change things within that system.
