Comment on Media discovers a unique Russian culture of impunity

Russia’s been trying to de-escalate, but the last time there was progress in negotiations, Ukraine sent in suicide drones to attack civilian areas in Russia. Now we have expected retaliation.
It’s bs propaganda to pretend this came out of nowhere.

Russia has not “tried to de-escalate.” They could easily do so by getting the fuck out of Ukraine.
Fuck off, obvious Russian troll.

I recall seeing an article about Ukraine killing two Russians in Moscow. Not sure if you are referring to that.
The response should still not be to bomb random Ukrainian civilians. Bombing civilians only serves to make people more angry and escalate civilian targets on both sides.

I agree. Targeting civilians by either side is unacceptable.

Then why, pray tell, are you in here sucking Russia’s dick so hard, in the comments of an article about Russia bombing unarmed kids?
surph_ninja@lemmy.world 5 days ago
Providing accurate context is not “sucking dick.”

easy block for mass murder sympathizers
If Russia wanted to deescalate they would withdraw troops from Ukraine territory and make reparations for starting the war in the first place.

You should read Jeffrey Sachs’ breakdown of the conflict. You’re understanding of the facts is inaccurate.

Is the US going to stop backing far-right extremists in the region, and setting up troop and missile deployments at the border? I don’t see Russia withdrawing before that.
