If you use a NAS for file storage it really does not do extreme amounts of IO. Similar to a desktop SSD.
There are torrent freaks out there who really need that price performance fix for everyone else SSDs are fine. Always run them in RAID anyway for redundancy and get TLC storage not QLC.

Solderer ram is slightly more power efficient. And this is probably a laptop board.
That said, 12gb is slightly too low for my liking.

More reliable, less power draw than HDDs, faster and far more space efficient.
Unless you are data hoarding random torrents, 6 to 12 TB is plenty.

- Comment on Unlike in movies, most smart people aren't good in chess. 1 week ago:
As a child I attended a chess club. There were no lessons. People simply played chess against each other.
I learned less in my entire years there than I did later in life in reading chess tips such as this page.
lichess.org/study/y14Z6s3N/A9uqbWxr
Looking back at those games I could recognize ways in which I was beaten by two moves in hindsight. But I had no idea about macro such as controlling the center or moving out the knights early were generally advantageous moves.

Learning a few chess pro tips will make you better than anyone trying to figure that game out.
The top levels of chess are skill but the bottom is people doing pre-learned openers.

I am so disappointed that TheGuardian threw away their entire reputation to manufacture consent for genocide and nobody even remembers it.
Now I understand how they keep doing it after 9/11. Nobody even remembers the mass propagande campaigns when they happened.

- Comment on Media discovers a unique Russian culture of impunity 1 week ago:
So TheGuardian a stalwart proponent of the genocide is slowly walking back their initial rhetoric of manufacturing consent for genocide. This is what all mainstream newspapers did after the Iraq invasion. First they publish the lies. Then when the destruction is done they publish a small footnote saying it was not very nice. Even NYT is publishing a few critical articles. It changes nothing.
Instead of lying about having seen non existent evidence, it dares not name Israel committing a genocide as genocide even in an opinion piece. Utterly pathetic.
If you can find articles from TheGuardian saying there is no evidence that Hamas committed rape on october 7 you will convince me. But knowing them that lie is staying up for a few years after genocide is over. Even now they have not published a correction.

I recall seeing an article about Ukraine killing two Russians in Moscow. Not sure if you are referring to that.
The response should still not be to bomb random Ukrainian civilians. Bombing civilians only serves to make people more angry and escalate civilian targets on both sides.

TheGuardian is a stalwart defender of . They went as far as claiming they verified video evidence of rape on october 7
Israel has this year admitted that no photo or video evidence of rape on october 7 exists.
TheGuardian is horribly unreliable and their double standards are palpable. For more info here is a great source dismantling their propaganda
