Until they make an AFFORDABLE display with multi-platform support, this is going nowhere. I also really don’t think that FAANG companies realize how toxic their image is. If they were smartz they’d be make these more open for people to hack on and stop forcing shit down people’s throats. They would sell way more units and get better adoption.

Theirs aren’t usable without an account though, and the hoops you have to jump through to sideload things to use it on Mac or Linux are not for amateurs.

Valve and Samsung were way more popular at the time. Now people have just capitulated to some of the dumb shit you have to do to run Oculus.

Ain’t that the truth. Their behavior and the products they’ve been launching the last few years prove this to me. They’re completely out of touch with society and what consumers actually want. LLMs are another perfect example of that.
