I think the best thing for Disney in this scenario would have been to just leave the IP alone, there are so many groups of people it belittles.
Dwarves, coloured people, the idea that white skin is a desirable trait, snogging comatose women…
*comatose children. In the original Grimms version, Snow White is seven. In the original Disney version, she’s 14.

I don’t know what you are basing that on but the original 1812 version never mentioned her age.
Do they actually say that though? From what I’ve read about this, Disney doesn’t explicitly state her age.
