That lore definitely comes from the Terran Federation. No way Musk is remembered as anything but an embarrasment by then.

Unfortunately Tilly mentions a school named after Musk in Season 2

I mean I ignore Discovery anyway, the modern method of story telling does not fit well and leaves little time for focus on the characters. It instead opts for season long existential plots to grab viewers’ attention. Which cramps character development and our attachments to them. And that sucks cause a lot of Discovery’s characters are cool.

Okay. All I did was say that a character from Discovery said something. This stuff is starting to get old, my guy. Just because you don’t like Discovery doesn’t mean you need to write a review of the show every time someone mentions it.
It’s not even that I disagree. Parts of that I agree with you on, parts I don’t. It’s just not the place dude.

Season 1 was a great example of how to squander opportunity. I’d love to know if what Fuller actually had planned would have worked and if it would have been ultimately decent, or if some of his ideas were part of the overall problem.
From what I’ve seen from interviews with him, Lorca wouldn’t have been making a tire-screeching 180 into mustache-twirling nazi, and Burnham wouldn’t have been a transparent Jesus allegory, both of which were my biggest thematic issues of the overall story, aside a massive pile of detail, continuity, and design complaints.
