Just have to point something out… if they mean “Target” in the sense of “shoot them down,” then I have to say :
What a monumentally stupid fucking idea.
I guess no one told the fucking morons drawing skull icons all day that by blowing up “adversary” satellites will just turn detectable objects flying around at 150km/s into tiny storms of deadly shrapnel also traveling at 150km/s spread out over a much wider and less visible range… which itself will also likely impact other orbiting projectiles and likely also turn THOSE into hypersonic shrapnel-storms as well…
Seriously… someone please ELI5 these idiots the concept by showing them 3 minutes of the film “Gravity” and maybe the concept will sink in to their absolutely stupid fucking skulls

But I see you’ve assumed they’re idiots and will do exactly that. I think you could give people a little more credit. They’re at least as knowledgeable as you, random internet person.
I mean on the one hand they probably know what they’re doing, on the other hand they think a skull in a triangle makes them look cool. Just saying.
