Without spoiliolps, what’s the game about?

I know Nazis have something to do with it but that’s about it.

Preferably broad strokes. I’m asking because I don’t want to look it up and it be spoiled

It’s a WWII shooter, so at first you’re just mowing down Nazi cannon fodder, But Wolfenstein in particular deals with Nazis that were researching the occult and bioscience to create supersoldiers. What if all that mumbo jumbo was real? That’s Wolfenstein.

  The very first video game I saw was Wolfenstein I’m pretty sure, my grandpa pulled me aside and loaded it from msdos I think and I was just blown away that you could control something on a screen

I mean that’s pretty much it.

The more recent games are more of an alt history where Germany won, and so the main character has to join a resistance.
