I think Anya was there when Loid talked to Desmond. I really want to reread that chapter but I can’t find it.
It’s also possible that Desmond knows that Anya is a telepath because she said it to Damien. There was a chapter where Desmond and Damien ate together after that happened. Ugh I can’t remember which chapter that happens in.

Oh yeah, maybe the older Desmond brother practices keeping his mind blank so that there’s nothing to be read; he is the one who suggested Donovan might have that ability after all.
