loppy@fedia.io 3 days agoYeah, it's too disjointed to really feel engaged with anything. I feel like maybe the constraint/focus of being in school helped with that, but now that it's just "the rest of life" there's nothing to ground the story. (Also the kids suddenly becoming super relevant really confused me, I couldn't remember who they were for a while.)

It would probably work a bit better with longer chapters or when read back to back but as is, yeah…

That’s unfortunate. I was hoping it would be the case of “bad with break, good when binged”, it would save it somewhat at least.
