Comment on If there are motherboards and daughterboards, are there fatherboards and sonboards?

  Does it? All the connectors I’m thinking of on the motherboard have protruding pins, which seem a lot more phallic to me. Are they really considered the ‘female’ connectors?

    You’re right, there can be some, like the pins for power button and LEDs. But CPU, RAM, Power, SATA, the external ones on the backpane etc are all female.
