As in, is Italian cuisine now famously rice-centric? No.
What? Risotto alla mare, risotto alla fuck my latin isn’t good enough to pretend to know Italian for this joke…
Did they switch during his time?
No, and eating pasta became an antifascist sign of resistance so it was even more popular
There even is this: it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastasciutta_antifascista Altho its more of a post-fashist thing not directly against this rice-push
No, they tried to push propaganda to make people eat more rice but were 1) openly mocked and 2) they never made pasta illegal despite being fully capable of doing so.
