once there was too much oxygen in the air and the most species to ever die, died.
another time there was a giant rock that slammed into the planet with more force than anything anyone can imagine and a ton of life died.
but life is still here i think it will last 6 thousand more years

Even human life will still likely survive, just not necessarily in the large-scale, global civilization that we have today. Even if that all collapses, scattered pockets of human civilization will remain across much of the world.
