Same. It was a seamless transition from Apollo (RIP)

That’s better for your lungs, but far, FAR worse for mouth teeth and gums
- Comment on Streaming is cable now | Seventeen years after Netflix and Hulu kicked off a streaming revolution, it’s looking more like cable than ever. 1 week ago:
There also used to be product placement ads during the shows too. I feel like that’s also more insidious when Jed Clampett and Granny are telling you every episode to smoke a Winston and eat Kellogg’s.

Basic cable has always had commercials along with the over the air channels. Premium channels didn’t.

I’ve always been in favor of the notch. I hate hate hate the island and dots. The small notch allows pace for the camera, time and regular status bar on the sides. Most of the time you don’t even notice.

Oh I’m sure that was a direct lift, there’s a ton of specific buildings and areas around that are straight outta twin peaks too.
- Comment on Recommendations for Pacific Northwest Themed Games? 1 week ago:
Technically it’s set in Washington, but fictional Bright Falls is based on Snoqualmie WA, North Bend WA (similar to Twin Peaks) and then also Crater Lake OR

Press X to doubt.
Stone has one use as a thrown weapon, and you must have accuracy. It could be used as a blunt instrument but that requires very close proximity.
Alternatively you can sharpen the stick, and have a length to keep things at bay.
- Comment on The ultimate choice 1 month ago:
I’d argue stick is more practical. You’re already outdoors, stick gives you walking aid, brush clearing, spider web first defense, potential weapon. Even non perfect rocks are useful but a great stick is mikes ahead of a wonky one.

I’ve still got all my 1080p dumb tvs. Works for me
- Comment on Interview: Jeri Ryan On Taking Seven From Borg To Bi Captain Of The Enterprise To ‘Star Trek: Legacy’ 2 months ago:
It wasn’t great, but it was notably better than season 2 in that it actually felt like a season of a show with some thought put into some kind of continuity. Season 2 was a huge clusterfuck of awful
- Comment on Hogwarts Legacy has officially cleared Zelda as 2023's best-selling game worldwide 3 months ago:
I assumed that after literally nobody or any media outlets have talked about it since release. Telltale sign of bang on average game. Probably great for potter fans and boring for those who don’t care or haven’t seen the films/read the books.
- Comment on YouTube Premium announces 100 million subscribers 3 months ago:
For me, almost all the media I consume is YouTube so I’m fine paying up to a point but if it goes past 20 without a heap more features I’m out. I was already shocked they took away “continue watching” from normal users.

It’s a somewhat narrow situation. You won’t always have the object of interest in plain view of a camera. What if it’s behind a door? Well now you do have to scrub through all the footage

I mean I would say it’s canon-lite. A lot of the jokes or cutaways don’t really work in a realistic star trek universe but that’s fine.

The original ship was also packed. Many many packed bunks and crowded halls. Even as noted in DS9 time travel to TOS episode
