Sodium cells also cost half as much to produce. Better cold-weather performance and charging to 80% in 15 minutes might make up for that in many people’s minds. Not to mention sodium being much more abundant and available than lithium. Categorically saying they’re a poor choice for a car disagrees with multiple car companies - you must know more than they do.
