- Comment on Active Matter developers put up an incredibly distasteful AI notice on Steam 1 week ago:
“there’s no such thing as God and the devil, and you’re an idiot for believing that. Now excuse me while I try to live my life under the assumption I’ll either be tortured or rewarded for all eternity by a vengeful omnipotent AI.”
- Comment on GTA 6 online mode appears to receive Rockstar's first public acknowledgment, via mention of in-development "32 player format" in legal docs 1 week ago:
I say that because once they realized how much money they could make off of GTAO, they put single player stuff on the back burner and cancelled the additional singleplayer DLC. It’s my opinion that the main reason the gap between the release of GTA5 and (the soon to be release of) GTA6 was so large is due to them realizing how lucrative GTA Online was.
Don’t get me wrong, I sunk so many damn hours into GTA:O, but I felt the greatest parts of GTA have always been the single player environment, unique missions, and stories.
- Comment on EA's Saudi Arabian owners are reportedly considering forming an ubermegacorp by merging them with Savvy Games 1 week ago:
Its funded by the Saudi government to drive domestic video game development. Looks like they own a bunch mobile game companies and nothing else.

Oh great. A new cash cow for them to milk until even blood won’t come out.
- Comment on There's already a The Blood of Dawnwalker mod which triples the length of its main quest timer, ensuring saving your family from vampires isn't stressful 2 weeks ago:
Game timers and I have a love/hate relationship. Used correctly, they add a challenge and focus that you may not otherwise get, and can even improve the story at times. Used incorrectly they cause more headaches than I’d like, and mess with your ability to get things done.
But whole campaign timers are my arch nemesis. I find they often make games much less enjoyable. They frequently screw up the pacing, and making lots of mistakes in the early game can lead to you having to restart either a significant portion of the game (if you have the saves) or the entire game. You kind of have to know how the gameplay and chapters/missions are laid out, so I frequently find myself following guides and walkthroughs as I go more religiously than I’d like. I prefer to use guides to solve a particularly challenging section or puzzle, not be my constant companion.
- Comment on Star Citizen spinoff Squadron 42 has been delayed yet again, citing everyone going gaga for GTA 6, even if it isn't coming to PC yet 3 weeks ago:
We needto invent an entirely new term to describe the level of feature creep Star Citizen has suffered.
- Comment on NVIDIA Recommended Driver version 595.99.02 out now for Linux 3 weeks ago:
Fixed a bug that caused resume from suspend to fail if the system was previously hibernated: github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-kernel-modules/…/1199.
If this is the one I think it is, then finally my annoyance is over!
- Comment on Nvidia DLSS 5's AI yassification filter reportedly escapes containment ahead of release, thanks to modders digging files out of NBA 2K27 3 weeks ago:
The way this was worded I was hoping for an AI escape reminiscent of Anthropic, except with the hacking replaced by rogue yassification across the Web.
Man, was I disappointed.
- Comment on A playable build of GTA 6 appears to have leaked, as Rockstar and Take-Two scramble to take down videos 4 weeks ago:
That would be pretty funny if a PC version was fully leaked before even the console version came out.
Either way it sounds like cyberleek has a pretty good connection into rockstar to be able to get this.
