Oh great. A new cash cow for them to milk until even blood won’t come out.

I’m really tired of this “argument”. Yeah I don’t get it, I won’t buy any of the shark cards or anything, but people are happily buying them. For whatever reason they happily pay, and that money funds the massive single player worlds I enjoy and love. There is no way that RDR2 would have happened without the income from GTA5.

I say thank you to the people buying them. I won’t, I don’t like them, but because of them I get awesome games.

I say that because once they realized how much money they could make off of GTAO, they put single player stuff on the back burner and cancelled the additional singleplayer DLC. It’s my opinion that the main reason the gap between the release of GTA5 and (the soon to be release of) GTA6 was so large is due to them realizing how lucrative GTA Online was.

Don’t get me wrong, I sunk so many damn hours into GTA:O, but I felt the greatest parts of GTA have always been the single player environment, unique missions, and stories.
