Sorry you unknowingly took a stress bullet for the team! However I really appreciate the heads up.

One thing I am always aware of are apps that want permission to access Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi and/or Networks.
Even though Bluetooth is very short ranged it can still be used to tie you into a location within a database based on other database records that are more detailed.
Yeah, I love playing you “My Great Dog-sitting Simulator” (not a real app) but you do not need access to my BT. The OS handles sending your audio to my headphones!

While you’re there try the Apple Fritter! It’s like monkey bread* made with apple cinnamon bits, then deep fried and dipped in glaze.
*=Monkey Bread is just pull-apart bread made from large chunks of dough.

I’m not going to pretend I have my finger on the pulse of ‘gays everywhere’ but I’ve never heard, read, seen, or experienced that word being used as anything other than the common usage for a food item.

The town I grew up in had a college and a university! I don’t think my parents bought us kids any new furniture until my dad built his own woodworking shop. I was a teenager by then!
We always got new mattresses, because NO FUCKING WAY was mom letting us sleep on a used, adult’s, student mattress. (I never knew you could stain them, that way, in those amounts…)
My sister still has a beautiful solid oak desk…

My divorced mom was a big fan of TOS, so much so that I was almost named Kirk.
Being divorced w/ 3 kids the TV was a pretty good babysitter. Something to keep us distracted while she did cooked and cleaned.
I’ve seen every episode of TOS at least 20 times, over the years, so remembering the first one is impossible. However as a kid my favorite one was the one with Gorn!

Altercation at Arlington National Cemetery
WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump’s campaign was warned about not taking photographs before an altercation at Arlington National Cemetery during a wreath-laying ceremony earlier this week to honor service members killed in the Afghanistan War withdrawal, a defense official told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

- Comment on Is there a "canvas" of the universe? Do we even know? Would a canvas follow the same laws as the paint? 6 months ago:
The ‘canvas’ which everything else resides upon is currently thought to be Quantum Fields: Quantum Fields: The Real Building Blocks of the Universe - with David Tong.
A Field is something that permeates the entire universe. There’s thought to be a field for every particle in the Standard Model. Electron, photon, charm, up, etc. A particle forms when the field is excited, and these particles interact with each other to form the universe.

- Comment on Waymo arson in San Francisco sparks new debate on self-driving cars 9 months ago:
The incident in Chinatown was due to the fact that Waymo AI expects everything to follow the law. Therefore driving through a busy part of the city should be fine because the streets will be clear as pedestrians follow the law.
Was the Waymo AI wrong? No. Does it need to learn human behavior? You bet!
The cyclist was hit because the rider failed to follow the law and maintain a “safe clear distance” from the vehicle in front. It was literally a few feet behind the big truck. By the time the AI saw the cyclist it was too late, because nothing should have been that close to the truck.
The AI we have now is perfectly fine as long as every sentient creature out in public knows and follows the law. Therein lies the next part of AI training…

- Comment on How important is vitamin D drops to be under the tongue? 9 months ago:
Interesting report. Two concerning bits though:
No attempt was made to distinguish between vitamin D2 and D3 because there was not always a distinction in the literature. However, vitamin D2 is less effective at raising serum 25(OH)D concentrations than is vitamin D3 (13).
And that the group sizes (“n” values) top out in just one at 1653. The rest are usually under 20.
Which doesn’t matter in the slightest as my post was to simply make the OP aware that too much can be harmful.
Your post simply raises the bar on how much is too much, but doesn’t change the underlying point I was trying to make.
Thank you for posting that report!
