Surely that’s work worthy of an IG Nobel prize?

Especially with those with 1000s of subscribers - how are people fooling themselves into thinking that they don’t have someone answering their messages for them?
Some of the most popular ones have whole crews for filming - why should social media be something they do on their own?
I kind of get it for the ones with few subscribers though

I get updates every other week
but I think it’s in a weird spot with not having regular English patchnotes - and afaik they also use an older rendering-engine

Vivaldi is the best!
Currently trying out Floorp as a Firefox fork for the possibility that Google’s disabling of adblockers in the manifest will make it impossible to use chromium browsers which is kind of good, too
But Vivaldi rules as long as chromium is an option!
- Comment on American veganism is like American Christianity. Sometimes fine and wholesome, especially when kept to oneself; but often a toxic, blatantly lying, proselytizing cult when in a group 9 months ago:
I’m not vegan but I severely limited my meat consume in the last years and it’s really the other way round.
When I’m in a restaurant with someone and order something without meat 9/10 times I have to explain myself. And most of the times people are telling me that they couldn’t forego meat as they like it too much…

Those are just insignificant compared to Google so noone is even trying to game them.
That’s actually one of the reasons why I use kagi but saying that they figured it out is just wrong

Also they are probably not repairable at all.
Part of the high cost is ensuring that you support the phone not just software wise but also with spare parts for some time and those ultra cheap phones usually do neither

Then why did the whole thing only start a couple of weeks ago when there are articles about her problematic flying habit for years?
- Comment on Taylor Swift on her way to her plane 10 months ago:
She publicly supported biden and now gets the full attention of trump supporters and russian trolls throwing shit at her to damage her public image similar to what they did with Clinton.
Single handedly made right-wing people care about plane emissions…

It really is ridiculous - I’m in the top 10% income bracket in my country but drive an almost 15 year old tiny car that uses less gas than most modern cars and people keep asking me if I only got my girlfriend’s car today if I show up with that…

- Comment on A literal child taking orders in a fast food restaurant in the US 11 months ago:
I’d argue that kids are not fit for the stress put on people in service positions with customer contact. It’s fine if they have a holiday job cutting grass or delivering newspapers or something like that but standing behind a counter taking orders from people that often don’t even acknowledge that you’re human, too? That’s hard enough on adults already - I definitely don’t think it’s the kind of job for kids.
Also which business is hiring kids to work a couple of weeks during school holidays and then is fine having one less worker again? The time spent on teaching the child what to do and how to handle different situations as well as the paperwork probably takes more time and money than not having the help for a couple of weeks - even less so as you probably have to have another person nearby in case of customers overstepping so I’m not sure this is just some holiday job for the kid to earn pocket money or get job experience
- Comment on Weather app asking for permission to manage calls 11 months ago:
Better yet: Bouncer allows you to remove permissions after a given set of time or immediately after closing the app. WhatsApp only gets my location for 3h after I shared it with someone on there - Google would never remove that permission since the app is in use regularly and it’s no problem granting that permission anew next time I want to share something.
Also all my pictures are only accessible on demand by chat apps and not permanently
