@Bruce @bookstodon I definitely did! It took me quite a while to get into it, but I'm glad I kept going. Turned out to be an exciting read.

@bookstodon Reading this book is showing me something profound and something I didn't realize. I've always had a dislike for patriarchy in most any form, but for several years, I sat and watched auto races with my dad. I even continued to do so until the mid 90s or so. The reason I told others I stopped is because of the religious fundamentalism expressed by many fans. But, reading this book, I realize that is not the real soul-deep reason. The reason is patriarchy. What a revelation. So, I'm reading on. E. Jean Carroll, I'm discovering so much through your words.

@bookstodon 👌 I have to say it, I'm gonna love this book--the humor, the satire and the candor. I've just begun, and the prologue made me laugh so hard, my stomach hurts. 🤣 😂

@bookstodon @pussreboots @baxaphobia I hope you enjoy it. I wouldn't call it an easy book to read. Perhaps that's why I liked it. I like complicated characters and complex subjects more often than not. I like content that mirrors real life.

@baxaphobia @bookstodon I did, though parts of it were very sad. Thanks for mentioning that you read it. I hadn't heard of it before.
