What a second. Pornhub is in US. This is like UK trying to force 4chan into age verification
- Comment on Apple rolls out mandatory UK age verification with iOS 26.4, requiring users to provide a credit card or ID, a first in Europe, after UK government pressure 1 week ago:
This has nothing to do with Brexit
Most of that surveillance shit wouldn’t fly in EU

- Comment on CPU shortage is 'getting more serious day by day, no less than the memory chip situation' says unnamed gaming PC company 1 week ago:
And it’s going to be our downfall
No, it’s self correcting as far as this type of disruptions go. Money will be wasted until it runs out, bubble will burst, and everything will be back to normal

You’re blaming the wrong people. The issue is on the side of demand - investment funds pour almost infinite money into AI destabilizing the market. Hardware manufacturers are just a cog in this madness

- Comment on If someone opened a store and just sold stuff at cost, which undercuts every other competitors by alot. Would this not for the big corps to come way down on their prices? 1 week ago:
which undercuts competitors by a lot
Not by a lot. First thing you got wrong is that local grocery stores run on high margins. They aren’t.
Second: Your non profit store would still be more expensive than shopping mall, because shopping mall benefits from economics of scale. A lot.
Where I live large scale Carrefour is like 25% cheaper than small scale Carrefour Express
- Comment on [Jason Schreier] AAA game budgets estimated around $300 million. These budgets are almost entirely dev salaries + overheard and have nothing to do with executive compensation (which is mostly stock) 1 week ago:
Of corse not only indie games. But there’s huge shift in the market from behemoths like EA, or Ubisoft towards smaller studios and indie devs.

And yet, lately it’s the low budget indie games that dominate steam charts with massive successes.

It’s because creative direction in these comapnies sucks. It’s usually a big, bureaucratized souless machine where your connections mean more than your actual skill.

Meanwhile an indie game from a single dev: 500k players on steam.

Let me get this straight: Disney was supposed to give Openai license for their characters, and on top of that invest billion dollars in the Openai? The money literally went the wrong way

Man…I don’t even like linux. I don’t know what I’m doing. I have difficulty understanding what I’m even doing wrong. I have issues installing software unless it’s a flatpak.
Use decent distro like Fedora KDE. A lot of issues are because new people pick Debian, Ubuntu or Arch

Dobre xD
I had argument with communists on Lemmy, my claim was that I can’t ignore the success of capitalism since I live in a country that after system change went from a total post socialist shit hole in the 90s to European power house now. He said that capitalism lives on exploitation and back then capitalists exploited poland, and now poland exploits poor third word countries.

One mind blowing part is that some of ballerinas attacks are synced to the music. This wasn’t meant to be just fight but sort of dance macabre with her.
She also has a back story that radically changes your perception of her. But I won’t spoil anything
There’s a hidden miniboss in the amusement park… But it’s so cleverly hidden you’ll probably need to look it up on the internet to find it.
There’s probably a metric ton of details I haven’t found about this game.
