This likely applies for newer titles, because older titles keep getting ignored by Ubi for years. As a simple example, Trackmania Turbo doesn’t work on Linux if you don’t replace uPlay with Ubisoft Connect in its files.

ES6 development needs to take exactly as long as possible, it would’ve been a disaster if it launched in the pace of Starfield. There exists people who still find new things after hundreds of hours on Skyrim, and ES6 is expected to be a title surpassing it, which is a really high bar.

Valve has revoked the license for a CSGO mod they greenlit years ago, how would you expect them to respond if you don’t get permission at all?
