Yeah mine kept it hanging on his wall as well and he would walk around with it sometimes when the buses were leaving.
I am sure he did all that as a deterrent to prevent bad behavior.

When I was in elementary school in the 70s in rural Virginia the teachers would hit you with rulers all the time. The principal had a paddle that resembled a cricket bat that he used.
I don’t know if schools allow corporal punishment still.
- Comment on If you're a parent, how do you prevent your kid from watching AI slop? 4 days ago:
In the narrow context of AI slop images it just such a nothing issue. There are so many insanely hard challenges to parenting that worry about you kid seeing shitty art isnt one of them.

I think a lot of the smart home stuff total worthless fluff, but there are parts that have use.
I can control my HVAC remotely, so I have shut it down in response to brown outs and an effort to not waste power.

Women die in child birth now pretty regularly.
Modern medicine has greatly improved things but giving birth is pretty crazy.
Beyond all the defects and things you talk about human babies are absolutely helpless for 5 years at a minimum and need parental care until about 15 years.
- Comment on Why do we have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash soaps? 6 days ago:
Each of us react differently to different cleaning products so you have to find the ones your skin and hair react to the best. You will find that will change as you age.

Are you starting university?
If so, take things slow and stick to campus. Dorm room for meal and then back to your dorm.

But honestly its also kinda alchemy to turn dinner into a charcoal briquette or a biological warfare item.
LMAO… Absolutely!
- Comment on Good cooking is a form of alchemy with equivalent exchange 1 week ago:
It’s all about the chef’s skill. While good ingredients make dishes better, Good ingredients doesn’t offset bad cooking. A bad cook can fuck up anything.

- Comment on Why in hospitals, is 'gun shot wound' appreciated as "GSW"- 1 week ago:
I dont know why GWS is used , but there are a bunch of the medical abbreviations that are not intuitive to me.
- PRN = As Needed
- ASA = aspirin
- BRP = Bathroom Priviledges (this one is intuitive)
- PT = Bloodtest
- bid = Twice a Day
- BS can = Breath Sounds or Bowl Sounds
- C with a “-“ on top of it means “with”
- M = so many things.
