  There’s immense potential for character builds but almost no incentive to explore them. You feel the wasted potential as you play.   AI truly has the capacity to topple billionaire hegemony and democratize/socialize everything. The hype we see from CEOs is a rebranding of their own fear. They want to control this tech so it doesn’t erase their power, which is why they are so invested in concentrating its power in datacenters as well as seeking AGI. Concentrating power is how they control it. It’s the reason they fight everything from unions to OSHA to work from home - these all undermine their power. They view AGI as the magical tool that will be hosted in a datacenter and allow them to maintain control over AI in general. They are flying too close to the sun. We are not the ones who should be afraid.

  I think your premise that it was easy is misinformed. We likely used modern classified tech to pull it off. There are reports emerging of anomalies related to common router vulnerabilities in Caracas. We don’t know how the operation was conducted and probably won’t know any time soon. Kidnapping a head of state is unprecedented. The Trump admin would absolutely use new tech to do this in a show of military prowess.

  Someone who becomes suicidal because you won’t listen to them rant is addicted to power and control. You’d ultimately be doing them a favor helping them wean themselves off it. You can’t be responsible for someone’s actions in this state. It’s a diametric opposite to, say, someone who is depressed/suicidal because they cannot afford food. They do not need you to listen to them. Tell them to fuck off.

  Under- car sensors is a great idea and the kind of innovation required for this tech to reach universal adoption. Waymo is already safer than human drivers IMO but let’s keep going until it’s significantly safer with verifiable data and capabilities humans cannot have.   Capitalism is economic policy, not a governance system. You are committing the gravest sin leftists struggle with by conflating it with a power structure. They are not the same thing. Capitalism is not actually practiced anywhere in the world now, as oligarchy is the norm. The whole “capitalism vs socialism” argument has been conflated and abused to drive a wedge between Democrats and leftists in the USA.
