That guy is just the coolest person ever. Every time I hear his name its some new fucking based shit. His music as The Flashbulb is my favorite music of all time. He has unbelievable range and creativity as an artist and was one of the first people to fight against music labels going after torrenters/downloaders. He uploaded all his own torrents to a private tracker. Just an awesome fucking person who obviously just wants the best for everyone.

I disagree that having a tripsitter present makes it not self-medication. If the substance isn’t being prescribed or administered by the third party, and they aren’t medical professionals then it’s still self-administered even if there’s a third party there. So then it becomes a question of intent. Why are they taking it? If it’s because it helps or treats some aspect of themselves that they are unhappy with then it’s medication. I’m genuinely curious why you’d think hallucinogens wouldn’t fit into that category, or if it’s just the presence of a trip sitter that you think negates the medicinal aspect.

Amphetamine is speed, it’s not the same as meth and is prescribed alot for ADHD(or other similar chemicals). Meth actually can be prescribed for ADHD but isnt usually. Lots of undiagnosed people with ADHD self medicate with all kinds of stimulants, amphetamine, dexamphetamine, methylphenidate… Idk why you think they wouldn’t, these pills are widely available and for people without a prescription they offer the relief they need so badly so of course they’re gonna self medicate with them. I’ve known people who self medicated with caffeine pills or energy drinks if they didn’t have an alternative. I’d bet a lot of people who end up addicted to meth started out because it helped their neurodivergence.

Whats a full setup in this context? A mouse and keyboard? You could always hook a pc up to a tv so thats not a factor… dont get me wrong if this is what it takes to get you to embrace pc gaming thats great, it just feels like before now if there were any barriers to it they largely existed only in your head. Hooking a pc up to a tv and using a $20 air remote from amazon and a ps4 controller(or even just the touchpad on the ps4 controller) to control the mouse was always possible.

Theres literally an option in the linux mint installer to just wipe the drive and install, and it creates all partitions for you, if you dont understand what a partition is. You literally dont have to do anything except click the bubble and choose next.

If you want like a mixed drink or a pop out of a glass while lying on the couch or in bed a straw is useful too, thats the only time i ever use them. My fiance likes a ton of ice in everything she drinks so she uses our metal straws for everything. I still prefer drinking out a can or a bottle with a screw on cap for most things when im lying down.

Unless something is REALLY funny or unexpected, i personally don’t really laugh anyway. Especially with a meme or online post, my brain just kinda goes ‘ah thats funny’. This can happen just as easily after a joke has been explained, or if i have to look something up for context. Once i have the context my brain still goes ‘ah thats funny’ and now ive stimulated my curiousity AND my humor.

I had to look it up because its been since 2005 in Canada, but wow you’re right. I wish that madw me feel differently about the content of my comment, because that is one objectively good thing that happened after 2012, but the fact that it didnt happen until then and that its so recent still just feels really bad.

2012 was pretty much peak imo. Cant really think of anything after that thats worth saving. Guess the mayans were kinda right after all. Smartphones had come out and evolved into something decent but weren’t terrible yet, facebook was still kinda useful and not a propaganda cesspit, google would give you useful results, reddit was full of unique and interesting information. Tv and movies were really hitting their stride with some of the most bou dary pushing original tv series and movies hadn’t all devolved to remakes and superhero rehashes, global warming was bad but people seemed concerned about it and it wasnt past the point of no return yet, youtube didnt shove a million ads down your face. Netflix was streaming content but didnt have any competitors buying up rights yet, spotify was fairly new and revolutionary still, forums still existed for all sorts of niche interests, ads werent completely pervasive everywhere, google wasn’t an evil monopoly sucking up everyones data, memes were still fresh and original, gaming pretty much hit its pinnacle of graphical fidelity relative to performance costs, you could order awesome drugs off the internet unregulated (not even just the dark web, research chemicals were fucking great and hadnt started to be banned yet). Idk i could go on and on but literally everything felt like it got worse from there. I didnt even touch on productivity or the economy but it still felt like a bit of a boom in the wake of the rebound from 2008. If im missing anything good that happened post 2012 please let me know.

Also i think there may have been a couple games ive tried where proton-GE didnt automatically fix this. In that case, use winetricks and install the full video codec package. A combination of those two things have solved this issue with every game ive tried.

I played quite a bit on the steamdeck with no issues at all. Actually i think i maybe had to upgrade to the latest proton-ge and/or install the video codecs package in winetricks (think i did both at the same time so not sure what fixed it) when i first installed it, but once it was running it worked perfectly fine for the 15 hours or so that ive plqyed so far.

This is not eugenics and wouldn’t be permanent. People shouldn’t be having unplanned pregnancies while addicted to hard drugs. If you cant stop using meth long enough to conceive then how are you gonna stop uaing meth during the pregnancy? Or once the baby is born? I have no problem with drug use and think it should be legalized but i think this would be a good concession to make if it were legalized. If you wanna have a baby just stop using meth. Is that an autistic thing? That makes sense. I always try to tune the piss stream with a combination of position in the center of the bowl and stream strength. Both affect the sound and i can dial ut in or adjust it to be pretty pleasing sounding (to myself). Its also extremely satisfying to be in the nuddle of a nicesl strong sounding stream and let out a nice percussive accentuating fart. If its a long one i can eve dial it in to harmonize with the piss stream sometimes.

To people from small towns, everyone in a city is ‘wealthy’, they must be to afford the insane cost of living right? But thats part of the problem. They don’t realize the people spending $2500 a month on rent are spending 80% of their paycheck, or that they can’t build any savings or eger hope to own a house or even a car because of it. They make no distinction between the actual rich people who live in cities and everyone else, and the state of America right now IS them fighting back against the ‘rich’. Until these people understand the orders of magnitude the people actually fucking us are over the rest of us i don’t know what can be done. To them anyone with a college degree is a wealthy elite.
