Indeed the X-wing “wings” are more supports to mount weapons on than they are airfoil. Tie fighters have a totally different approach to flight.
Andor is of course beholden to the fantasy world it is set in, it did convince me as a sound socio-political story. The fears and distrusts both of the rebels and the military/ intelligence services, the anti Ghorman propaganda, it’s awesome.

Not all star wars is the same. While I agree that it is space fantasy rather than sci-fi, some of it is more serious and well made than the rest. I have absolutely loved Andor, Rogue one and Solo, and the first and second series of the Mandalorian. It’s starwars with very limited force use.
While the space flight isn’t realistic, the wings aren’t really a problem. Look at the space shuttle… Real spacecraft with wings.

Yes but so is wet cardboard so that is not a high bar. I never understood why people liked oreos. They’re really shitty biscuits, the only thing good about them is the marketing. I think I ate two in my life. The first because people hyped them up, the second because I could not believe they were quite as bad as I remembered because people still seemed to eat them of their own free will. They were actually as bad as they were the first time.

Agree with them. Tell them that yes indeed there is a deep state that wants to kill as many people as possible by spreading disinformation causing morons not to take the vaccines so more stupid people die. It’s eugenics really and very, very heinous. Wait wasn’t that what they meant?

Which is why they lable anyone they arrest as a criminal, doesn’t have to be true. You heard Trump, having a trial for each one would take too long. So just slap a label on them and say you’re though on crime.

Why do you believe I see homeless people as less than myself? Quite a lot of people are only a short term breakdown away from being homeless, especially in ultra capitalist places like the US. Certainly they need help, but help is not always directly available, and you want to argue that while they look for help, making the world as hostile as possible is a good thing? And then you try to gaslight me with that? I think you need help.

That may be true in some cases but most of the time anti homeless street furniture is just made to get homeless people to not hang around that particular area.

No, the private funding of politicians, which nowhere in the world happens as thoroughly or blatantly as in the US, is another issue to solve. It’s companies pushing for privatization of services that they sabotage first to show that the government doesn’t do well with them. It’s like the postal service headed by that Trump appointee that was a big cheese in a transport firma. I forgot his name.

Much more pronounced too. It goes way beyond a few posters and flags. Xmas songs, trees,food etc. It’s on everything all over the place. Pride needs to really up its game to get up to Xmas level.

The cyborg, RoboCop was a good guy. But even he had programming blocking him from opposing or harming the crooks that headed the corporation that built his robotic body and they were not good guys at all. They also had the fully robotic walking tanks Ed 209, that did their bidding fully (when not experiencing bugs).
