They need to make mining drones mandatory, too. Humans have no business being in holes. They are not their holes, they do not belong in them.
I’m looking at you, spelunkers. - Comment on The pipeline 1 week ago:
It’s not a dichotomy. Capitalism inevitably leads to oligarchy, and oligarchies are just authoritarianism rich people being the ones opressing the people. Both China and Russia ended up as oligarchies too, even though they started claiming to be ‘communist’.
A way to prevent authoritarianism is the division of powers, but that only works until the enemies of the people work together to take over all divided powers.
The only system that has proven to work in the public’s best interest so far is social democracy. But even that is hanging by a thread, as it requires higher levels of public education and better control over corruption to maintain.

Yeah. All GW1 pretty much needs at this point is just the Beyond chapter of Elona and 2 professions unique to Prophecies, one heavy armor, one medium armor. And having Prophecies and Factions weapon drops updated to the new system used in Nightfall and EotN, with inscriptions and more upgrades, and making the upgrades have fixed stats like armor upgrades, so they can get their own trader NPC.
And then rig the trader NPCs to always have supllies at a premium cost so GW1’s economy does not depend on bots to stay supplied. There’s no way we’ll ever see new professions , and I doubt they’ll ever update the weapon drops. But they have already done some new quests. So there’s still a bit of hope for “Rise of Joko”.

Yeah. Tankies always forget you can’t have socialism without democracy, and either no government or a government that is strictly from the bottom up, and fascists gladly play along with that facade as it works in their interests.
“Authoritarian communism” is an oxymoron.
And not an “emphasis” kind of oxymoron like “bittersweet” or “impossible solution”, or a “poetic” kind like “living dead”.
An “absolutely impossible” kind of oxymoron. like “married bachelor” or “squared circle”. - Comment on The pipeline 1 week ago:
Apparently, deboning your meat before eating it is not “manly”. You have to chew the bones, like an “alpha wolf” or something.

It’s the other way around.
X is a “if you build it, they will come” situation. They were already around, they were just too cowardly to come out of the woodwork into the open.

There are banks that will generate a pin for every transaction that is not using the physical credit card or associated phone, or that is over a certain amount, requiring you to carry the phone at all times.

Nah. Someone would make up some convoluted and confusing template, pass it to Trump as “freedom dates”, and he’s sign it without reading.

That idiot CEO is doing idiot CEO things.
Everyone knows that if he keeps bowing down to Musk’s pressure and enshitificating the platform, people will leave for greener pastures as soon as there’s an enticing alternative like they did with X.
CEOs surround themselves with the most conceited and naive of all echo chambers.
They live in an imaginary world in which their backward opinions work better than what has been proven to work time and time again by every research ever done on any subject. They will one day wake up to a blue sky, claim it’s actually pink with green polka dots, and blame “the woke agenda” or some such nonsense when they are obviously proven wrong. The closest analogy I’ve ever heard for what modern CEOs have become is “Like a bunch of Naked Emperors jerking each other off while shitting all over everyone below them”. As accurate as disgusting.

Which is why buybacks need to be illegal again, and dividends need to be regulated and taxed better baed on factors like how much the company benefits the community.
And employees need to be guaranteed a proportional cut too, ensuring that better performance and higher company earnings always means they earn more, and not that they get fired and the one who gets a bonus is some random CEO who only kept trying to push bad ideas the employees kept fighting all the time. - Comment on Fucking leeches 1 month ago:
If it would destroy the economy if everyone did it, then it should not be doable in the first place.
