actually, while it doesn’t change the conclusion hardly, we have all forgotten that 395k wage is a combined income.
I mean these are still silly high wages… Having said that though, both the combined income, and that it’s very conceivable a good portion of that income is from capital gains, not work… they probably get more take home out of that 395k income than we’d expect too…

I’m not sure there is actually a proper definition of ‘rich’ that would allow you to accurately classify a group of incomes into rich and not rich.
But if you were to think of it in terms of the ‘feeling’ I’d say I’d feel rich if I never had to choose a cheaper option for anything at all, ever, could eat out and check into a hotel for the night any time I liked, all whilst currently putting away a handsome investment of some kind - but still have more disposable income than I could possible waste between income periods with nothing but my own debauchery (barring expensive drug habits).
That’s what I call rich, thing is, some people can achieve this on much less than others due to their tastes and circumstances. I’d feel rich if I worked 9-5 and took home upwards of £300k for sure. Others might not though.

No, an attack on a member of our government, particularly the prime minister, is an attack on our entire nation.
(by ‘the’ reaction, I assume you mean mine)
That said, such an attack is never acceptable.
- Comment on Man arrested after fires at homes linked to PM 2 weeks ago:
This makes me really angry.
We’ve lost 2 MP’s in recent memory, I don’t care their leaning, they were murdered while in service to the people as a member of parliament. You wanna go for the prime minister? again, don’t care his political leaning, fuck you. Make an example of them.

Might have got a few more months/years out of my dad if they’d actually taken him seriously instead of fobbing him off for two weeks before discovering his pancreatic cancer at an ultrasound to prove it was actually kidney stones causing his textbook pancreatic cancer symptoms.

Yeah I’d really like to know how this ‘you don’t ever own the game’ fits in with their other line ‘piracy is theft’.
how can you have stolen something if you haven’t actually gotten it?

to be fair, having a better funded and equipped military gives us the ability for more ‘foreign action’ which could be used in place of ‘aid’ in certain circumstances.
- Comment on Wimbledon school crash: Woman rearrested over deaths of two girls 3 months ago:
My point is the CPS had decided that the explanation provided by her is enough to rule out prosecuting her.
So surely anyone can use that defence then, when they drive like a twat and kill somebody because of it. Er I got undiagnosed epilepsy, passed out for the first time with it ever and the doc says it’s possible so you can’t arrest me?
Thing is, this could be cast iron truth from her, I just don’t think the judgement of whether she is telling the truth or not here should be something the CPS decides, but rather a jury of her peers, with plenty of medical experts weighing in too.
I don’t want to call her a liar, but I want the truth of her claim to be fully validated. If it were anything else, whatever, but two little girls are dead and there are others that will never be the same again.
- Comment on Wimbledon school crash: Woman rearrested over deaths of two girls 3 months ago:
Sure, but isn’t this the sort of thing usually debated and considered at a trial?
Previously it was the CPS choosing not to prosecute.

- Comment on Axel Rudakubana: 'Evil' Southport killer jailed for minimum 52 years 3 months ago:
I hope he is cured of his moral braindeath soon and then actually feels the appropriate level of guilt for his actions, and is prevented from ending his own life over it.
I mean imagine if you woke up one day, realised and remembered every second of how you murdered 3 little girls, stabbing at them like some sort of crazed rabid dog, and that you realised you knew what you were doing and did it on purpose. Could you live with yourself after that? how much would that guilt burn your soul to cinders? How horrifically impossible would it be to deal with that?
Imagine that feeling for just a second, if you can.
That’s how I want him to feel, forever and ever with no possibility of escape.
