For me, its because I don’t want to follow a link to watch a video, especially if I can’t even see a thumbnail of it. If it’s hosted locally and I can just watch it in my app, I will. I also can’t know if I need to get headphones or if I can watch without sound, so I don’t want to waste my time finding out. Videos are just a hassle imo

It does! English is in the minority on the adjective-noun order lol

I translated photofunky.net as if it were French lol. “Photo funky” is how you would say “funky photo” in French. And net is a word in both languages too, so I just with a different meaning for the joke

You did great and it’s the same message either way but, just for fun, your translation in French would be:
bonjour je m’appelle helium. j’suis un gaz noble.
(The literal translation would be “mon nom est helium” but people don’t usually talk like that- just like the literal translation of “je m’appelle” is “I call myself” but people don’t usually talk like that)

Arguably, it could still just mean tomorrow, given that today was yesterday’s tomorrow. As every day is a tomorrow, the next tomorrow is just tomorrow

see you next tomorrow
I particularly like this bit

Oof- I used to get that reaction a lot before I learned it wasn’t actually funny, and I was just framing it comedically to cope

1.) Is this real? Assuming so, why didn’t you link your channel? (And if not, am I missing a reference?)
2.) Why did you post this in a shitposting community? Is your channel one big shitpost?
3.) Why did you make a big-ass overflowing fire precariously on that lil stand so close to your tent (especially when there seems to be a proper fire pit behind it)?
4.) Did you bring prepared firewood, or bring a saw with you? Or are you just so proficient with that hatchet that the logs look like you used a saw?

The metamorphosis of H₂O from a crystalline solid is instigated by an endothermic enthalpic absorption, destabilizing its tetrahedrally coordinated lattice architecture. This thermodynamic perturbation amplifies molecular Brownian motion, surmounting intermolecular hydrogen bonding and effectuating a phase transition into a disordered liquid state.

Please don’t use bipolar as an adjective to describe anything but a person with the diagnosis.
And even then, consider that many people prefer person-first language to be more appropriate (I personally refer to myself as being bipolar, but to others as having bipolar disorder).

Oh damn, is Google moving toward not allowing apps to be installed from outside the Play Store?
Regardless, I see now how it’s a problem; if we let Apple do it, and then Google decides to too, we’re fucked, and it would then be unfair to not let Google do it since the precedent was set by allowing Apple to

Thanks for your input! Is that what’s happening here, though?
- Comment on EU to Apple: “Let Users Choose Their Software”; Apple: “Nah”. 2 weeks ago:
But hasn’t Apple always been this way? It’s not like people don’t know what they’re getting into when they choose Apple over Android. Is there something I’m missing?
- Comment on EU to Apple: “Let Users Choose Their Software”; Apple: “Nah”. 2 weeks ago:
I honestly don’t understand why anybody cares. If someone doesn’t want to use the closed Apple ecosystem, just don’t use Apple?
Seems to me that Apple’s most attractive aspect is the closed ecosystem, and I don’t see why they should be forced to change it in this way.
I use GrapheneOS btw- the only Apple device I ever owned was an iPod Touch.
- Comment on Internet and smartphones have increased people sitting in their cars for extended time, but people suspicious why someone is sitting in a car for an extended time has not decreased proportionally. 2 weeks ago:
Sometimes going inside is similarly -if not more- stressful than work or wherever they spent their day. Going inside could mean dealing with family conflict, chores, etc, so that time in the car might be one of very few times they get to truly relax with no obligations/expectations
- Comment on The universe is bottle-necked at processor speed 2 weeks ago:
This is a misunderstanding of quantum mechanics.
The idea that the universe is “not locally real” suggests that particles don’t have definite properties until they are measured, with their states potentially correlated over distances through quantum entanglement. This doesn’t mean that only observed things exist; rather, it indicates that certain properties are simply indeterminate until measurement (or “observation”)
In quantum mechanics, “observation” refers to the interaction that causes a system’s wave function to collapse from multiple potential states into one actual state. This process affects the state of the system but does not imply that reality is created solely by observation, nor does it require a sentient observer
