  The history of Britain has a moment of near revolution with the electoral reform in the mid 19th century. Also the suffragettes. Also multiple slave revolts in the empire.

  This would be true reform. The danger is more extreme market liberals or fascists gain a foothold and irrevocably fuck the nation.

  Honestly though, I’m completely confused by this whole thing. Some Chagossians are settled in the UK now and some live in Mauritius. They do seem to be excluded from this negotiation though and I wonder what the point is. If the Chagossians aren’t going to be properly represented by Mauritius either then what’s the point in transferring sovereignty to Mauritius.
