- Comment on Microsoft Bing is trying to spoof Google UI when people search Google.com 2 months ago:
Microsoft is a pathetic little husk of a company, what a corny and predatory practice that not even google cares to do if you search other search engines.

I had no idea this shit depended on twitter!?!? what a bunch of bullshit. Even though I usually ignore amber alerts they should at the very least be as accessible as possible for people who help.

I had this exact same thought recently and it scared the fuck out of me for some reason. Probably the thought of being forever alone Then I realized its not that big of a deal but an interesting thought nontheless.

The worst double standard we have as a society is that only girls are victims of weird stuff like this.
- Comment on Privacy Guides is Hiring 5 months ago:
I had no idea this was a nonprofit. Been using it as a reference since the split from privacytools and I always thought it was just a simple website maintained by some smart people in the industry being helpful. Like a wiki.
Not sure how to feel about the sudden push for content creation and journalism when there are other more established people doing that. They shouldnt be hiring for these random waste of money positions if they are also asking for donations. Seems like a classic overextension of a basic idea to make a nonprofit somehow profitable. Maybe im flat out wrong but it seems unnecessary.
- Comment on I can imagine the "will you be using the mobile app?" question to get cheaper food is going to devolve into the Mark of the Beast and someday no one will be able to buy anything without using the apps 5 months ago:
Oh hell nah. We as a society really need to collectively understand the value of crypto is not an investment. It was made to be a tool to combat stuff like these everything apps from ever becoming mandatory.
I swear on my life if we ever have to use an everything app in the US I am going to jump off the nearest bridge. Bad enough already with how much the banks control our money and where it can go. We do NOT need another third party getting in the way.
- Comment on Ditching Spotify and YT Music 5 months ago:
I cant seem to use it without signing in which sucks, might consider just submitting to youtube soon anyway since no good competitor is being made. Too big to fail and all that.

Trust me, as a californian, everyday being here is a boring dystopia.

Lemmy and Bluesky are what I use too, atproto is just much more promising for microblogging than activitypub and Mastodon proves that. Lemmy is perfect for it though.
