To me, bots are just noise if not summoned directly. Like when you’re having a conversation with your friend, then a loud roomba comes in and tries to clean the very space you’re sitting at.
“Hey bot, tell me facts about the article OP posted.”
“Sure! [etc, etc]”
Versus:
“HEY I KNOW YOU HAVEN’T ADDRESSED ME DIRECTLY BUT YOU SAID THE WORD ‘BUTT’ 17 TIMES TODAY!”

If I do more than a few hours gardening in summer I’m darker-skinned than her 😂
This is your privilege talking. Because if someone targets you for your skin color, all you need to do is stay in the shade for a couple of weeks. “Lol!”
But more to the point, you’re right. Unfortunately, American politicians have a history of not liking non-whites in positions of power. Under Obama, the GOP shut down the government twice, and the famous “you lie!” was uttered to him by a Republican during an official act - something that has never happened before. All because he was black.

I’ve lived in the U.S. for more than 20 years. I’m “Mexican from South America” like many Trumpists would call me.
It’s not as bad as it looks.
- Comment on What is the actual point of a bra? 3 months ago:
I’m okay with being distracted.
If a woman wants to wear a short, short skirt to work, or no bras, then so be it. I will probably stare when no one is looking, but I will for sure remain professional otherwise.
What’s the difference between this scenario and having a mesmerizing painting in the common area.
Shit, I’m objectifying women!!!
Let’s just say that a dude with a good pair of biceps would be equally distracting, and I wouldn’t have an issue with that.
- Comment on Here's why modern gaming suuuuucks. 4 months ago:
Second?
But in a way, you’re right. New games don’t appeal to me. The kind of “child wonder” I get nowadays is by playing games that are similar to the ones I used to play. Fantasy consoles have pretty much an endless supply of these games, and I enjoy discovering new, interesting ones.
As soon as consoles required to be “always online,” I was out.

People, it’s not this black and white either.
If you think issues in a relationship can be solved with logic/rationality only… good luck!

Who actually has anything against renewables besides fossil fuel companies?
There’s your answer.

You talk about “trusting he’ll do horrible things.”
That kind of “trust” can be excluded from the answer, because it’s not the kind the question was referring to.

I did lol, why the hell would I recommend it otherwise?
Not directly saying that you’re doing this, but c’mon, you know the answer. Why would anyone recommend a paid product?
There is a free trial and you can check out if it’s worth it for you btw
Nice! I didn’t know there was a trial. Good to know.
You can also filter out the quora and other shitty websites results, which is nice
Oh, now we’re talking!! That’s very cool.

Your account makes it sound very appealing, so I’ll check Kagi out more closely.

I’m almost convinced that Kagi comments on Lemmy are spam. Please prove me wrong:
Has anyone here tried Kagi because of a recommendation from here and, well, actually found it better than the rest?
