Procedural generation is fine.

Fucking lunatic
- Comment on Were Sony and Microsoft Truly Worried About The Google Stadia? 5 days ago:
Obviously it was always going to fail, the more you abstract away ownership the less people will be interested in buying.
- Comment on The psychogeography-est of Disco Elysium's spiritual successors is a gonzo journalism RPG named Hopetown 6 days ago:
The corporate destruction and subsequent ridiculous fallout is incredibly disco elysium, I’m 100% here for all the successor studios.
- Comment on Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury -- Dare I say... not "woke" enough!? 6 days ago:
It’s been awhile, but from what i remember they definitely expected to have more episodes to tell the full story that they just didn’t get.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 publishing director thinks GTA 6 might have the "clout" to normalise a $100 price tag 1 week ago:
Don’t forget the drop in necessary production costs, tools have only gotten better and cheaper while corpos have valued less and less.
- Comment on Cubic Odyssey announced as a fusion of Minecraft and No Man's Sky 1 week ago:
Nms absolutely doesn’t hit the way Minecraft does, and it isn’t the blocks. Minecraft allows for much more free expression with what you build than NMS does (from what little I’ve played of NMS).
- Comment on ‘Cost of dying’ in UK hits record level as bereaved turn to crowdfunding to meet bills 2 weeks ago:
Just chuck my body into a local creek, thanks.
- Comment on 'Take my data': US 'TikTok refugees' flock to alternative Chinese app 2 weeks ago:
Almost every country in the world opposes Trump, including most of the USA. He is objectively bad for the planet.
- Comment on Minecraft gets new pigs, wildflowers and ambient features in the latest Beta 2 weeks ago:
… They didn’t already have the leaf thing? Whatever, I’m not particularly interested in the update (or snapshot, i suppose), but it looks like they are filling out small details they’ve ignored or never even thought of, which is a good thing. I’d rather have fine detail than a half assed new system that’s disconnected from everything.
- Comment on South Korea | 'I got rape threats over claims I put a feminist symbol in a video game' 2 weeks ago:
South Korea is beyond fucked socially.
- Comment on "The Water Magician" Anime Adaptation Announced with Teaser Visual, PV 2 weeks ago:
Man, and here i was almost interested. Thematically water magic is very nice, but then they go and ruin it with ‘the strongest’ as a protagonist.
- Comment on School shooting lawsuit reveals that Black Ops Cold War cost $700 million, the highest development cost yet reported by a publisher 3 weeks ago:
Fucking how?
- Comment on "Noble Reincarnation: Born Blessed, So I'll Obtain Ultimate Power" Anime Adaptation Announced with Teaser Visual 3 weeks ago:
Sounds terrible.
- Comment on Israeli women mobilise against ultra-Orthodox military exemptions 5 weeks ago:
Even if we ignore the, you know, genocide, this really reenforces the cruelty. They just want to force more people to bear the weight of their horrid actions.
- Comment on Funko issue a statement about the itch.io take-down, while also apparently calling itch founder's mom 1 month ago:
What in the god damn? That’s seriously insane, hopefully funko takes some kind of hit.
- Comment on Dread toy-peddler Funko Pop gets cool, handsome Itch.io taken offline via dodgy "AI-powered" brand protection 1 month ago:
Man, funko needs to sink. That low quality trash does nothing but fuck up the environment when people inevitably toss it.
- Comment on Sleep is important 1 month ago:
I haven’t gotten more than, like, 4 hours of sleep on a work night in the last month. The only reason I’m still alive is because my days are staggered
- Comment on I swear the time is like 1/6th shorter than it was before 1 month ago:
Time comes and goes, it’s weird. I don’t believe it exists. A few weeks ago an hour was nearly twice as long as it is today, a month before that it was even shorter.
- Comment on Yea 1 month ago:
Yes.
- Comment on "Hell Mode" Anime Adaptation Announced with Visual, PV 1 month ago:
You know, I’m heavily against video game isekai (ruined the whole genre grumble grumble), but that synopsis was actually written by someone who hates modern MMOs and i can at least be here for that
- Comment on The next Dragon Age game might be another "reinvention", say BioWare, drawing parallels with Final Fantasy 1 month ago:
“we have no idea what we are doing” and “we don’t want to fuck up this badly again” but with more ego assuaging is what I’m hearing here.
- Comment on You’ve got ten days to pick up the original Warcraft I & II from GOG before Blizzard pull them, but GOG will support their preservation forever 1 month ago:
Eh, they weren’t that great.
- Comment on Project Zomboid set for a massive update that should get a Beta before Christmas 1 month ago:
The definitive zombie game, cataclysm dark days ahead. In my latest game i built a battle train.
- Comment on Nintendo is targeting members of a popular Switch piracy subreddit | VGC 1 month ago:
So this latest wave of pointless attacks is to try to destroy the competition of their next console, yeah?
- Comment on No Man's Sky Head Claims Team Isn't Close To Being Done With Game's Content 1 month ago:
Idk, old Minecraft generation was excellent. All they really needed to do was make it literally deeper/taller and make the biomes wider. The extreme and weird landscapes were rewarding to explore on their own back then. Imo developers just need to be comfortable letting interesting landscapes from instead of boring, uniform ones like NMS does. The novelty would eventually wear off, sure, but it’d last a lot longer.
And community worlds is an excellent idea. Having custom planets, or hell even just things players have made in their games, show up would add a lot to any game like this.
- Comment on Riot Games is cracking down on players’ off-platform conduct 1 month ago:
On the one hand, i fully believe they should be able to target players they know are a problem without them strictly breaking TOS, but i tend not to completely trust corpos. Not that i care about riot games anyway.
- Comment on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2's first big patch is out with 650 fixes for crashes, progress blocks, physics and AI bugs 1 month ago:

- Comment on Project Zomboid set for a massive update that should get a Beta before Christmas 1 month ago:
I’m more of a cataclysm gal than zomboid, but that looks like a great update
- Comment on Assassin's Creed Shadows to Feature Denuvo & Mandatory Ubisoft Account Linking 1 month ago:
What the actual fuck? Is this game some kinda developer revolt? Are they trying to sink the studio?
