Man, that is so pathetically underwhelming, something like this belongs in a small snapshot
- Comment on China leads research in 90% of crucial technologies — a dramatic shift this century 1 day ago:
Actually crazy how many people apparently go to America. That’d be very low on my list of places to relocate to.

mem is absolutely the best girl in the series

Hey now, organized crime usually has an element of giving back to the community, it’s much more ethical than this!

I’m not usually one to speak on maturity, but are you sure you’re old enough to be here?

I didn’t figure the Times used AI. Welp. Not like i read them anyway i guess.

That’s a bad sign.

… Hold on, illegal weapons? That’s kinda way more alarming, you can’t just throw that in as an aside. real weapons, or a nanny-state-hates-knives thing?
- Comment on Hytale gets a cheap price point, all because its devs don't think the game is good yet 3 weeks ago:
Player base doesn’t determine what’s better, the most popular things are often the worst
- Comment on Hytale gets a cheap price point, all because its devs don't think the game is good yet 3 weeks ago:
Better Minecraft. Which you’d think would be incredibly easy to do, but the project has already basically failed before. My guess from all I’ve seen over the years is this is a real personal project for the dev rather than something that was ever actually intended to be released and getting a release is just a cool bonus for them.
- Comment on Zork I, Zork II and Zork III are now officially open source 3 weeks ago:
The rise of the Internet guide really ruined video games. MMOs especially are basically unplayable with how people interact with them.
- Comment on UK to ban the resale of tickets for profit to protect fans 3 weeks ago:
They should sell tickets, that’s starting to be a once-a-decade kinda deal.

- Comment on Hytale has been saved as Hypixel acquired it from Riot Games 3 weeks ago:
Genuinely surprised hytale might actually be a thing. I wrote it off years ago as a failed project (at best), seeing this at least implies the dev is doing something.

It’s wild how much better random fans are when compared to official slop. And people just accept the slop!

Corpos value control above even money. Microsoft corpos especially seems to relish in having control over others even if it hurts their market share.
- Comment on Halo: Campaign Evolved announced for release in 2026 1 month ago:
Agreed, well, if you mean after Bungie anyway, reach is a major high point in the series. 343’s insistence on writing being just an excuse to get to gameplay has left any future there as narratively hollow as a borderlands game.
- Comment on Relatable. 1 month ago:
Eh, I might getting older but the old stuff still hits better. Sure there will be a genuinely good show here or there, but standards have never been lower and slop has never been this popular.
- Comment on Krafton (PUBG, Subnautica, inZOI) becoming an "AI-First" company 1 month ago:
Pretty sure there was already news out that suggested subnatica 2 was going to be awful, or at least the last good game that developer ever makes. Sad either way.

- Comment on [Eurogamer] Pokémon Legends: Z-A review 1 month ago:
Sounds solidly mediocre, a new high for the pokemon franchise! Maybe I’ll try it when it inevitably ends up on pc, but it seems like the most fun anyone will have out of this game is the comically long radicalsoda review like always.
- Comment on Trump floats dropping Spain from NATO alliance 2 months ago:
The second part was admittedly an exaggeration, but the first part isn’t. America was all in on fascism and even nazism before being forced to actually join the war and those became enemies. America remained ‘neutral’ in ww2 for years (it was 3, yeah?), but it was the ruling class of America that empowered the Nazis and Nazi parties ran amok in America. Still do, but that’s besides the point. iirc we didn’t end corpo collaboration until after we actually joined the war.
- Comment on Trump floats dropping Spain from NATO alliance 2 months ago:
It astounds me that America has all this power in so many international institutions. America was much closer to the bad guys in ww2 until we were randomly attacked and dragged into the war.
