- Comment on An article on HiAnime's death and anime piracy in general, from a former industry insider 1 day ago:
A lot of this just reads like Crunchyroll propaganda tbh. I’m sure almost every single pirate goes to another pirate site, at most using very poor legal alternatives as a stopgap.

Anyone got any good alternatives? I was in the middle of the first series of Gundam and I’d prefer not to torrent the entire thing

Fully agree with that guy in the comments, they’ve gotta do something about the aesthetics. While I’d personally prefer a total overhaul in a kinda 90s futurism style instead of this ugly iphone era, they could just add parts to make it feel less minimalist and bland. Think, like, wall panels for wiring, corner lockers to emulate the Alien’s look, or even those hand rails from the Gundam series (these buildings are general purpose, they could be planned for low gravity survival too! Or even just a hull breach underwater). Not to mention furniture.

Man, it sucks that i can’t get excited about WoD anymore. It’s easily one of the greatest ttrpgs out there, but every since paradox got their claws on it it’s been absolutely ruined. Between 5th edition and bloodlines 2 i genuinely think someone high up in paradox wants the IP to fail.
- Comment on NetEase has reportedly pulled funding from Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi's studio and next game Gang of Dragon 5 days ago:
Developers have got to be more selective with who they rely on. I’d never take money from a big corpo renowned for being both evil and incompetent. Which is almost every major corpo, for the record.

Idk, i think i could actually do a lot if i just went back in time to when i was a kid. Like, a basic degree of worldliness would set you up to know every major market shock and the biggest trends to get on early.

Real boomer article, rizz is one of the few dumb new slang words that probably going to stick around, because it’s dumb in a fun way and actually has some grounding instead of being lulsorandum humor.

Okay, but roblox specifically targets a very stvpid and naive demographic the sims targets, what? 20 something queer people? They aren’t they gullible, i doubt this is going to work out as well.

With how often this happens we can blame everyone working for customs. Bunch of paranoid jackasses that do nothing but ruin delicate equipment.

- Comment on Means to deceive 2 weeks ago:
Yes! It’s incredibly telling when someone speaks positively of the concept of work, it’s not noble, it’s not necessary, it’s not good. We’ve spent millions of years trying to cut labor out of existence, even before we were humans we were avoiding doing more. We invented cooking to avoid labor, less obvious labor, but still. The wheel wasn’t made so we could do more, it was made so the labor we needed to do was easier. And that’s just labor, work as we know it is a modern invention that made labor way worse.
LLMs aren’t actually useful for replacing any kind of labor, though, and too many idiots don’t even make the connection that the thing that makes them hate most of their lives is bad.
