- Comment on Do you ever feel full and hungry simultaneously? 2 days ago:
This might be relevant, but I was like this for almost my entire life until my 30s. Found out I have a kidney disorder that makes me lose potassium way too fast. Started treating that and most cravings went away.
My takeaway was that cravings can be driven by nutritional deficiencies. Figure out what you’re missing and eat more of that, or supplement. The cravings can also be totally wrong about what to eat. I would crave purely salty stuff but what I actually needed were bananas, avocados, and strawberries (bc they’re crazy high in potassium). A lot of the foods I craved were actively worse for my cravings (very starchy foods lower potassium levels; worst offenders are pizza and alcohol).
I’m not saying you have my specific thing, it’s crazy rare; all bodies are unique, however, and yours might be missing something. Keep an eagle eye on what you actually consume and try to correlate cravings to your eating habits.
Completely unrelated, but if you have ADHD you may have also ingrained the “food=dopamine” correlation deep into your psyche. People often use food to regulate their mood unwittingly and it becomes a destructive habit.
Sometimes it can be both of these things. So good luck and godspeed.

I’m about 3 hours in and the benches are far more generous than in the first game. Also corpse runs aren’t required; you just lose your money.

Fun fact, an exploit in the Lumines save file is how the original PSP jailbreaks worked

Watching Kimbo Slice beat the shit out of people in random back yards was peak. Beat the hell out of needing to download the whole thing before watching it like you had to do with Red vs Blue

My oldest account I can still access is my eBay account at roughly 20 years old. Next oldest is my Steam account at 18.

Not multistage, but it’s a heat pump with auxiliary heat. I have multiple zones controlled by dampers, too, soni have two of these thermostats.

I bought a Honeywell Z-Wave thermostat because I have a more complicated HVAC setup than the typical American home. It was one of the few I could find that was compliant with a home automation protocol that didn’t require something that announced its existence to the Internet. It’s been solidly reliable, replacing my dead Nest thermostat.
The thermostat:

If Google assistant ends up dying this is the way I’ll be going with. I’ve already got HA up, I’m just using stuff that predates my HA setup.
- Comment on Google Assistant Is Basically on Life Support and Things Just Got Worse 1 month ago:
No need for this. A Z-Wave or Zigbee thermostat does the same thing.

I have three lights that were wired to one switch. With smart bulbs, I can individually turn them on and off or dim them. No “dumb” solution exists for homes that were wired in a stupid way.

A room temperature can of full sugar soda takes at most 2 hours to chill in a 0 °F freezer. A refrigerated can of full sugar soda takes about 45 minutes to get to just above freezing (the perfect temperature for Dr Pepper consumption).
Diet sodas take about half the time in both scenarios.
This is for 12oz cans.
I’ve got it down to a science.

The main thing I remember about this game is that it was financed by the fortune of a former MLB baseball player, independent of any game studio.

90s kid here, but in a poor and rural area. I would play in my yard all day and couldn’t leave because it bordered a highway, and the nearest business was 5 miles away. Libraries were special trips. I had no neighbors, and no friends aside from school and church.
I played a fuckload of super Mario and read everything in the house whether I enjoyed it or not. Got halfway through the encyclopedia before we got free dial up Internet through AOL trial CDs and NetZero, but even then time was limited because phone line time was expensive.

Nobody would be able to understand me because English has diverged so far from 12th century English that it’s a different language. Also I’d be in north America where nobody had even seen a white person. Additionally, I’m 20 ft above the ground right now in a building that didn’t exist back then. Finally, I’d be rightfully blamed for bringing plague to the native tribes of the area and likely killed.
Assuming those hurdles were all cleared: I’m a mechanical engineer. So, I’d tell the natives where iron ore, coal, and oil was buried and how to extract and refine it. Tell them how to make gunpowder. Speed run making steam engines and lathes. Get north american natives armed, industrialized, and organized against the external European threat.

CDPR has been atoning for the sin that was their failed launch for years. In my opinion, the game is a good game now.

Those are the ones that I open when my brain can’t brain.
At least one idle game. I just finished antimatter dimensions after a year or so. Starting on NGU idle next.
And one “100% attention” game like outer wilds or hollow knight.

Seasons in Texas:
June 5-October 25th: fuck you it’s 100+° F / 38° C. Most non-native plants die if they receive direct sunlight all day. It’s 85°F / 30°C at night.
October 26th - December 10th: fuck you it’s 90° F / 32° C but also 40°F / 5°C in the morning; you’d better have 2 sets of clothes for the day
Dec 11th - Feb 28th: actually decent weather
March 1st - May 1: it’s getting hotter but also raining a lot so it’s muggy but the weather is still tolerable sometimes
May 2 - June 4: Hot and humid, sensory nightmare, air outside feels like your lungs have been filled with a damp blanket. 95+% humidity at all times.
