Yeah let’s ignore the fact that it loses 70% of its strength at like 800 F.

Carbon steel loses 70% of its strength at 800 degrees though.

- Comment on Google Says Sorry After Passwords Vanish For 15 Million Windows Users. 3 months ago:
My mom told me that she was made fun of for having a book of hand written account credentials related to running her business (6 people total). I told her it was the best way to do it that wasn’t massively overcomplicated for her situation and to keep it up. The only recommendation I made is that she use different long passwords for every site since she’s already not memorizing them.
Personally I’m not convinced this isn’t the best way unless you’re being targeted by physical bad actors

I disabled my TPM in BIOS so Windows would never upgrade

Cp2077 is a good game. Did they hype it too hard, overpromise, fumble the launch, and launch too early? Yes, to all of those. But it’s one of the better games I’ve played recently.

I bought a projector not too long ago. I’ll never go back.
- Comment on What happens when two people with hyphenated last names get married? Do they hyphenate all four names and in what order? 8 months ago:
I’ve always thought the system of last names should be hyphenated. Your paternal last name first, maternal last name second. Women no longer change their names when marrying. Men pass the paternal name down to their kids, women pass down the maternal. That way last names are essentially a record of who your OG matrons and patrons are.

Joke is on you; they left all the kids that made perfect scores alone. They knew they couldn’t convince them to join.

A heartfelt, handwritten thank-you letter telling them they’re a great teacher and how they positively impacted your life.

All we need is somebody to drive by a pressure vessel fabrication shop and get the panels zapped by a PMI gun. We’d know instantly.

But why is that even necessary
- Comment on POV) You use Windows 11 and set up Pihole for the first time. 1 year ago:
Doesn’t matter, in the end, because it’s the same story for tons of us out there. The company I work at now makes a product that only works on Windows. It’s in most of the power plants in the country. You’ve never heard of us unless you are one of half a dozen people at each power plant. There are thousands and thousands of companies just like mine, cranking out software that only works on Windows.
I think the only thing that will change this trend is the raspberry pi and machines like it. Make it so cheap to equip your employees with a Linux machine that it’s impossible to ignore.
Even then, though, 10 hours of lost productivity a month makes the windows machine the more valuable buy for even a low paid employee.
