Out of curiosity, when did they show that? Every interaction with demons I remember from it they are shown to be manipulating people at best.
The “Diplomatic Envoys” were literally trying to figure out the town’s barrier so their master could come in and slaughter them.
The “little girl” in the flashback with Himmel outright says that she called out for her “Mommy” despite demons literally abandoning their young once they’re born because “that word stops humans” and nothing more.
Like yeah it’s inherently difficult writing something that looks human as actually an irredeemable monster that the only solution is destruction because dehumanizing vulnerable groups is pretty much always the first step in real life genocides. But I don’t recall any instances of demons in Frieren actually showing “humanity” for any other reason than to manipulate and kill humans.

People: “We’re tired of all these ‘misunderstood villains’ we want unapologetically evil for the sake of evil.”
Frieren: “Okay here’s monsters that learned to imitate human language and emotion solely to manipulate and kill humans.”
The same people: “No! You’re wrong! They’re just misunderstood and you’re doing a genocide!”
Yeah, any media that depicts something human like being an irredeemable monster that the only solution is destruction is inherently tricky because dehumanizing is pretty much always the first step in mass atrocities irl. But my God I’ve seen so many people tie themselves in knots trying to give the benefit of the doubt to demons in Frieren.
- Comment on Klarna Hiring Back Human Help After Going All-In on AI 3 days ago:
Well yeah the AI support is just the next iteration of confusing telephone trees and long wait times. The direct hope is that they make it just convoluted enough that a chunk of people that they before would have to “waste money” serving and fixing whatever problem they had will instead just give up without opening them up to liability for denying service. Only now they can do it while hiring even fewer actual people to handle the cases that get through.

Notice how the lines the 7/10" is attached to go from one side of the miniature globe to the other? This indicates that measurement is meant to be a diameter. Looking back at the paragraph before he talks about 0.35" being Earth’s Schwarzschild Radius. Radius is half of diameter so doubling that radius you get 0.7 or 7/10" across at which the Earth would become a black hole.
That’s what that mini diagram is showing.

I think I get what it’s saying? It’s saying that while your phone isn’t directly listening to your conversations in any meaningful way they collect crazy amounts of other data on basically everyone and can piece it together in such a way that they can make some scary accurate guesses as to the kind of ads to serve you based on what their systems have gathered your interests are and where/with whom you spend your time.
I’m not entirely sure. They didn’t really seem to present much more than speculation on it.

It appears to be called Takopi from the manga Takopi’s Original Sin. I see a book for it and the first things I notice are the tagline “Time travel can’t heal all wounds,” and that it’s listed in the dystopian, horror, and sci-fi lists. Okay yeah I feel like I’ve got a pretty good grasp of what goes on here.

Being entirely oblivious mostly. I make shonen anime protagonists and lesbian stereotypes look like love gurus by comparison. I am so dense my sexuality actually collapsed into a black hole and that’s why I’m asexual.
I missed my wife trying no less than 6 times in one day to get me to come to bed with her. A little while later I noticed her go to the bedroom and thought “Oh sweet, she hasn’t gone to sleep yet. Maybe I can get some snuggles.” I was then delivered an ultimatum. I either get fucking, or fucking get. I blue-screened so hard I apparently just closed the door and left. I don’t actually remember what happened in that moment. That’s how hard my brain broke.
Luckily when she eventually was done and came out to tell me it was safe she was laughing her ass off. Apparently my look of utter confusion and bewilderment was something to behold.

A bunch of comments going for the “why would you buy toilet paper that already has shit on it” route, but I can’t believe nobody went for calling this a shit(tickets) post.

Mine is supposed to. Idk why it doesn’t sometimes. It’s only supposed to not be blurred if I’m scrolling inside an NSFW community. I’m pretty sure all the posts it’s happened with have been properly marked NSFW. But multiple times I’ve gotten jumpscared with it.

Yeah so far I’ve blocked a handful of furry pages and like 1 or 2 just plain old gay ones. Basically I barely want to acknowledge the existence of my own penis. So if I’m scrolling and a post suddenly jumpscares me with a face full of cock, I block.

Meanwhile I mostly browse All and running into the porn is how I know I’ve scrolled too deep. Such a variety of experience this place.

I find this funny because where I live in Western NY they didn’t even offer service. I’ve been stuck with Spectrum for years. Especially infuriating was another fiber provider came into my neighborhood and one asshole refused to give them an easement to access the pole on their property so literally my block is one of the only spots in my neighborhood they don’t have service. I want to drop Spectrum so bad but they’re pretty much the only provider in my area.
