- Comment on In honor of the start spooky season (yay!), I have a question about an apparently beloved spooky meme/skit. What about "David S. Pumpkins" is so funny? 1 month ago:
I’m going to say because it’s short, stupid catchy. Sometimes your brain goes to random places and then logic sets in. Ignoring typical reason is what makes absurdist comedy work. We obviously have a character playing it straight trying to figure it out getting more and more upset by the illogical which makes the bit work. The music is silly and not erriey at all and then getting scared freeze frame when they continue to point out the character is not scary is the kicker and sort of makes it worth it. This was probably just a random skit they threw in last minute and thought, just have fun. A lot of hit songs are simple, obvious, stupid and catchy. Rick James thought Superfreak was a throw away song to dumb to be on the album and it’s his most recognized song.
- Comment on OFFICIAL TRAILER: Uzumaki | adult swim 2 months ago:
Highly recommend not watching the trailer! It gives away so many of the icon surprises of the book. Seriously just read the book or go in blind to this show/movie. WTF is wrong with trailers showing us everything now.
- Comment on Scalpers Work With Hackers to Liberate Ticketmaster's ‘Non-Transferable’ Tickets 4 months ago:
Yah. Pearl Jam spent years in limbo because they thought everyone would join the fight. But no big name artists ever did because no one wanted to rock the boat. During COVID ticketmaster / clear channel/liveNation/ iHeartRadio whatever have continued to consolidate. They own the tickets they own the resell websites they own most of the big venues they can demand merch sales at the venue. If you refuse they can remove you from playing their venues.
At this point it would take 10+ huge artists to final kill this beast. We are talking Taylor Swift / Beyonce big that actually have complete creative control. I don’t even think most top artists have that. They would have to organize everything and they would probably lose union contracts for stage craft and audio, lights, transportation. Basically they would have to start their own ticket & touring companys that outdoor fields and sports areas? and would have to stick it out for years and convince a good majority to stop buying tickets from any place using Ticketmaster.

Looks great too! But yah better to wait a minute and get some excitement that isn’t overshadowed.
- Comment on Hades 2 will change your "dash" and "sprint" abilities in its first patch 5 months ago:
That is what that was! I did really well on a run struggling to make progress but the enemies suddenly seemed to be impossibly stronger.

What about rclone? I’ve found it to be amazing for cloning or copying.
- Comment on Hades II is now available in Steam Early Access! 6 months ago:
Supergiant has my respect because they respect players avoiding all bs modern games try and nickel and dime players. I would encourage people to buy it if you will buy day one when it’s released. They confirmed progress will carry over but also a lot of these indie development teams rely on presales things like this to keep the project revenue all good.

Rollerdrome was very solid concept but the difficulty curve was pretty intense. One second you feel like you have the hang of it the next you can’t get to the next arena.

- Comment on Microsoft's next-generation Xbox pitched as a "cloud hybrid" console 1 year ago:
Good luck with that one. Highspeed reliable Internet does not exist everywhere. I’d rather pay for a gpu then deal with garbage gameplay.
- Comment on Unity reportedly told dev Planned Parenthood and children's hospital are "not valid charities" 1 year ago:
I don’t see an official statement but it would be really amazing for a company that is asking everyone to follow the new rules to ignore the well established laws at the same time. They can have whatever opinions they want but these places are recognized as such.
