Ah, so since MS discontinued Wordpad, they figured they’d turn Notepad into Wordpad. I see.

You can’t help getting older, but you don’t have to get old. Stay in touch with younger people, and don’t be afraid to make friends with younger people (within reason - stick to 20 or older). Don’t make fun of current slang, you had yours at that age too. Learn it even if you don’t use it yourself. Don’t fall into the trap of “the only good music was my generation’s”, always look for new music to like, even if it’s individual songs instead of whole artists.
Keep taking care of your appearance. Even if you go full gray in the future, if you make a point to look at least good, you’re ahead of a lot of people of all ages.
And remember - gray hair isn’t an embarrassment, every single one is a testament that no one and nothing in life has been able to kill you yet. The more you have, the more it testifies that you are hard to kill. 😁

That’s the term for very old editions of games that have been mostly “abandoned” by their publishers.

Generally, yes. First, you’ll need to find or put together a list of those games. Then, you have two directions you can go. If you’re looking for ease of use, see how many of those games are on gog.com , they specialize in packaging old games to run on modern systems. On the other hand, if you have a little technical knowledge, you can google games one at a time with the word “abandonware”. That will usually get you somewhere where downloading will be possible. Learn how to use DosBox, set up your games in it, and off you go.

The most positive thing I can think of is if you turn the system off, the game stops.

Palfarm’s promo video is very elaborate for a joke. I think it might actually be legit.
- Comment on What's *your* favorite way to play old games? 2 months ago:
Original hardware, modern TV, flash cart/ODE/internal hard drive softmodded whenever possible.

Emulators for any game console from before the 3D era. NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis would all be good candidates. You’ll have a ton of good games you can play any time.
