A broken clock is right twice a day. A random number generator will also occasionally give you the right answer.

I think the meaning of the actual words that he chose is less important than the fact that it sounds absurdly convoluted.
Also I don’t think his point is true. If you read academic papers come up most of them are pretty easy to understand.

- Comment on nuclear fear-mongering is a ploy by Big oil 8 months ago:
This used to be true, and there was enormous investment in nuclear power.
But the truth is that renewables have come a LONG way these past few decades. In many places, renewables is the cheapest energy to invest in, cheaper than even Fossil fuels in many cases. And much much cheaper than nuclear.
Why build a nuclear plant when you can build diversified renewable energy sources for the same price or less?
As a very small added bonus, renewables can’t be turned into bombs. Yet.

What do you like about thunderbird?
- Comment on Microsoft sneaks ads into the new Outlook for Windows 11 months ago:
Maybe not 1998 but it definitely has a particular look. I like it though, it’s utilitarian.
- Comment on 5/5 stars 11 months ago:
Yes! Why did it take them so long?
- Comment on When people talk about returning the cart after shopping, does that include putting it in a corral, or do you have to take it all the way to the front of the store to be a good person? 11 months ago:
The issue, besides making minimum wage workers lives hell, is that the carts offten end up in the street, and can become a hazard or hit people’s cars. If it doesn’t have a corral, then take it to the store. Otherwise take it to the corral.

Ah, I have only used both a relatively small amount, and from my experience I think thunderbird is more functional, flawed though my perspective may be. In what ways has outlook been more functional, from your perspective?
- Comment on Microsoft sneaks ads into the new Outlook for Windows 11 months ago:
I do not understand why anyone would use Outlook when thunderbird is free and, in my experience, much more functional.

Definitely not a roguelike. This is the greatest stretching of “roguelike” that I’ve heard in my entire life.
But it is an excellent game

Accessibility. I should be able to give my grandma Ubuntu and she should never have any trouble.
Also fuck Nvidia

Fair enough. I disagree about it being worth spending money on like that, but your opinion is very well thought out, and I respect your position. Thank you for sharing!

The game is 30 years old. It should be in the public domain at this point. No one who worked on the original team is going to profit from this at all. It’s not immoral to download a ROM for this game and play it for free. And with save states etc.
It’s just your best option honestly. There is no moral or practical reason to pay money for this product.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
Fellas you don’t need to buy a 30-year-old game
- Comment on Epic is giving away 17 games as part of its holiday sale 1 year ago:
It’s more than clicking a single box when they build. They will have to provide support for Linux systems, that’s the real kicker. Also their anti cheat might not like Linux.
Not saying they shouldn’t, it’s ridiculous that they don’t support Linux. But there are valid reasons.

3 megagrams is crazy for a vehicle like this. With the high torque electric wheels, they will be very hard on asphalt.

How is it unrelated? Are we not all disgusting the specs of the vehicle? If weight is not a spec worth of discussion then I surely do not know what is.

If we assume that the tails already exist and it’s only question of giving them hair, then not necessarily.
