Sorry, I only have a YouTube link for this: youtu.be/ROFblZ_-9q4
If you haven’t seen it, Wyse (Ring competitor) released a pretty funny ad about this.
- Comment on Europe’s $24 Trillion Breakup With Visa and Mastercard Has Begun 2 weeks ago:
Nah, since the 80s at the earliest. The wealthiest were taxed up to 90% and corporations didn’t get the tax loops they have now until Reagan took office.

Good example, especially given that it looks like a Russian oligarchy is where we’ve been headed since 2016

I’m not an economist, so here’s my ass talking, but I don’t think your example scales out.
Not everyone wins in a failing economy.

If they’re selling bitlocker as “full-disk encryption”, doesn’t that open them up to a class action since encryption with a backdoor isn’t encryption?

Wouldn’t the emails from “Jeffrey E.” be in the Sent Items folder instead of the outbox? Totally unbelievable. Gee, I hope someone got fired for that blunder.
- Comment on Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang complains about stock price slide during all-hands meeting — says market did not appreciate company’s ‘incredible’ quarter 2 months ago:
Jensen doesn’t seem to realize that the only company profiting from AI is nvidia, and they’re profiting from companies that are losing money on AI. It’s a very fragile ecosystem being over-inflated. A bubble, if you will.
- Comment on Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang complains about stock price slide during all-hands meeting — says market did not appreciate company’s ‘incredible’ quarter 2 months ago:
Yes, but, let’s speculate a second.
Jensen is just a guy, nvidia is just a company. If they both disappeared, the people who are actually responsible for the company to be “one of the largest and most advanced” in the industry would still exist.
They have a specific skillset that would then be in demand. Let’s say three or four of these people open new GPU chipset companies to fill the void with backing from desperate investors.
Now you have three or four advanced GPU providers all competing with each other. Who benefits the most from this?
Consumers. Us.

If you think you need to blame the people for not being impressed by your product, the problem isn’t with the people.
- Comment on New(ish) to self-hosting. Question about reverse proxy setup 3 months ago:
If you look at the docker compose for the stack I’m using, cloudflare is definitely a part of it:
github.com/geekau/…/docker-compose.yaml
Headscale requires cloudflare, and tailscale requires Headscale.
The documentation for how all of this ties together is really sparse.
- Comment on New(ish) to self-hosting. Question about reverse proxy setup 3 months ago:
Alright, I’ve configured tailscale as an exit node, but I’m getting an error that might be related to cloudflare? I’m not sure.
Tailscale logs show
Received error: fetch control key: 403 ForbiddenIs there a guide for configuring cloudflare for this?

- Comment on Switch 2 Teardown: Still Glued, Still Soldered, Still Drifting 8 months ago:
I don’t care that people bought a Switch 2 if it makes them happy. For me, this was the first Nintendo console in a long time I had no interest in. There was no innovation here. It’s just a minor upgrade in specs over the Switch with maybe better online?
Nothing about the Switch 2 is going to supplant my Steam Deck, so why waste the money?
- Comment on Switch 2 Teardown: Still Glued, Still Soldered, Still Drifting 8 months ago:
Your post is a little confusing. If you haven’t bought anything from them since the 3ds, then how did you put a screen protector on your Switch 2?
