I worked with some Americans who said “these data” all the time. Even though it was technically correct it sounded so grating I wanted to kill them. Everyone other employee from literally every other country would say “this data” barring those smug fucks from Seattle.

I wish articles like this would show the fucking data or link to it. The state of journalism. They deserve to be replaced with AI

- Comment on To kill mammoths in the Ice Age, people used planted pikes, not throwing spears, researchers say 5 weeks ago:
I think what they are getting at is that an animal tends to not want to run into a spear, so I’m thinking there might be some trickery involved such as concealing the spear or rapidly bringing it to bear
- Comment on To kill mammoths in the Ice Age, people used planted pikes, not throwing spears, researchers say 5 weeks ago:
I’m guessing you can do the old trick of lying them flat and then jerking them up at the perfect moment with rope.
- Comment on How a hybrid war with China could hurt UK consumers 5 weeks ago:
You know tibet was a fuedal slave state before right? And that the only people from Hong Kong who actually complain are rich business owners upset that they can’t exploit the poor like they could under British rule?
- Comment on How a hybrid war with China could hurt UK consumers 1 month ago:
China is not going to invade you fucking war mongering ghouls. They literally have no need to.
- Comment on UK economy continues recovery with 0.6% growth 1 month ago:
I suppose you could create one based on the average wage and the average cost of living. I’m sure something like that does exist. Buying power or whatever.

- Comment on Microsoft confirms its Paint 3D app is being discontinued in November 1 month ago:
I did actually use this for a bit to scale some 3d printer files for a star trek RPG I was doing. I wanted all the ships to be in scale with each other.
It wasn’t a terrible app to be fair. I had no real experience with 3d modelling and I was able to open this up and do what I wanted. Eventually I even managed to kit bash together some of my own ship designs.

Ok, but isn’t calling for the deaths of billionaires (not that I disagree) on the internet just armchair communism? Do you do any real works communism(ing)?
And why not join a community? If you look at hexbear you might actually realise you like it. And if you have an account with history rather than thousands of throwaways, your words might cary more weight. What is communism without community?
- Comment on US convicts academic of being Chinese 'foreign agent' 1 month ago:
I guess participation doesn’t count then. Leafleting, organising, protesting, educating. All of that doesn’t count because hexbear call people out when they show their arse eh?
As if there is nothing more to our lives than what we post on an online discussion board.
If you go to hexbear you’ll see that we have a strong culture of promoting leftist theory. Or internal culture is a mixture of seriousness and silliness, with a lot of struggle sessions where we try to hamer out our differences.
And yeah, we do do quite a bit of trolling, because ultimately federation has put us in contact with an awful lot of easy marks. So sorry if that has upset you.
