It’s a very long headline though, can’t you make it somewhat shorter? Doesn’t quite roll off the tong…
- Comment on Madagascar man guilty of rape and murder of child sentenced to surgical castration 2 weeks ago:
I think it depends, as far as I know, the official catholic church aka Vatikan does not allow mutilation of any sorts, but regional variance applies. As in the US Catholics church does not forbid their members from circumcision and at times may encourage it because they think it is more hygienic.
- Comment on Madagascar man guilty of rape and murder of child sentenced to surgical castration 2 weeks ago:
It is a rare form of punishment, only used in Germany, the Czech Republic, the state of Louisiana in the United States and that of Kaduna in Nigeria – and now Madagascar
Which is misleading, in Germany the perpetrator can volunteer to chemical or physical castration under specific rules. It cannot ever be forced on them because that violates the German constitution.

Probably only in the same way cartoons made kids belief that gravity only takes affect when one looks to the audience. Most often, most kids won’t transfer any of that to reality but we all had that one kid at our school who was reaaaaaally close to do the Naruto run.
