I was going to say Russia must love humiliating themselves but I guess this is painfully obvious the past 2 years
- Comment on Fake Pokémon Cartridge Spotted At GameStop Raises Concerns Among Retro Gamers 3 months ago:
I would argue that the employees may be negligent in the need to verify with the database due to being overworked minimum wage part timers who are just looking to “get the job done” and not care about mistakes made.
The presence of a database also does not mean they are explicitly taught to say “you need to use this database to verify, here is how to query it and ensure it looks right”
GameStop could probably address this partially with hyper-focused UI walking them through a review but then employees are just going to hit “next next next” just to get it done
I think this idea is cursed and a bad idea for GameStop to implement because this is inevitable and we are going to see this over and over again. This was already a recurring joke at some locations selling older games, esp. Pokemon, prior to GameStop formalizing it

- Comment on Rabbit R1 AI box revealed to just be an Android app 8 months ago:
I know what you’re getting at and this isn’t directed at you and I know this is why it’s done, but the capabilities of the phone don’t have any bearing on the use of the AI so why gatekeep it? It’s a dumb way to make a profit.
- Comment on Rabbit R1 AI box revealed to just be an Android app 8 months ago:
This is why I cringe at cell phone manufacturers selling cloud and AI features based on phone models because wtf you’re not running that cloud on that handset so why do you gatekeep the product behind that model? It can’t require that many resources, it’s a cloud app!

Open console, troubleshoot components, replace components as necessary. You might be overthinking this one or your question might not be specific enough.

Please note that my original whatever was meant to be a reference 😄 Should have included a tone tag haha
Agreed, would be neat, but idk if they would be willing to go the distance for VIII. Maybe IX.

Whatever
- Comment on Can Cloud Strife (FF7) beat Link (Zelda)? 9 months ago:
Only way that is happening is with Link fully armed and Cloud with no materia. Cloud is superhuman at his base self, his Lvl. 3 and 4 limit breaks are brutal, and he just gets worse with Haste, Reflect, etc., never mind offensive spells like Ultima, Comet, summons…
Link is resourceful, he may outwit Cloud, but he will absolutely not beat him in a straight fight.

Eh it doesn’t really, there isn’t a surge in radio attacks on cars, this feels like a distraction
But I’m with you on your first point, security needs to be hardened and the only one who can truly do that is the manufacturer

- Comment on ASD jab: Chinese scientists reach milestone in revolutionary gene therapy for autism 1 year ago:
Autism isn’t just a condition, that’s the deal, Autism is a heavily different way of thinking. It shapes Autistic behavior and their viewpoint on life. To them, science has been dedicated to focusing on eradicating a component of their existence, one that a lot of them (definitely not all, there are a lot with your opinion, but I would say a majority) have embraced and wouldn’t want changed.
With an anti-Autism treatment available, neurotypical parents will just force it on their Autistic kids, deciding their fate for them, but would also open up an “out” for those who want it, so this isn’t a clear cut good-or-bad thing as one may think.
