  Thanks, I don’t believe this is related to federation since the posts do show up in the feed and I am able to save them, or so it appears. They just don’t show up in my saved posts when I later go and check. All other saves across all other sources seem to work fine, it’s specific to lemmit.online saves for some reason. Haven’t seen anybody else discuss this, but it isn’t a popular source of content here either so that could be why.

  Came out looking awesome! The custom ports do give it some extra polish over the previous iteration. I might wind up making one of these myself. It would look great next to my Virtual Boy 😄

  If you know how to program, build123d is a FOSS option that isn’t FreeCAD! You can create objects directly from Python code, including fillets and chamfers! I’ve been playing around with it a lot and while there’s definitely a learning curve, it’s pretty powerful! There’s a VS Code addon that allows you to visualize what you’re working on and visually debug as well. I can do a lot of things I couldn’t do in OpenSCAD (which is another easier code cad option).

  This is the route I ultimately took and it has worked out well for me. Most of the multi-packs I found had individual rolls that were too short to really be practical. I considered buying two packs, but with a lot of brands there will be some variability between two rolls of the same color which means you can’t switch mid-print. I ultimately found a pack with rolls that were twice the typical length and that has worked out well. The one I bought was Mika 3d brand on Amazon.

  I actually enjoy content from several of these repost bots and have submitted subs to repost. I think Lemmy is great, but it still is far behind in niche content. I think the bots are a great way of offering the content that’s missing vs Reddit. My only alternative would be going back to Reddit, which I don’t want to do. The whole reason I’m on Lemm.ee is its anti-defederation stance.

  Thanks, I agree that defederation should be a last resort. It’s true that there is some extreme content on hexbear, but I don’t think it’s the majority. Unless it becomes the majority I think we should stay federated. A big part of why I joined Lemm.ee is its anti-defederation stance. I don’t mind skipping content I disagree with, as long as it isn’t blatant hate. I prefer to get as broad of a view of what’s out there as possible.
