- Comment on Mortgage rates increasing again – so do brokers think now is a good time to fix? 6 days ago:
There seems to be a common misconception that mortgage interest rates are linked to the above rate, which if you’re out of your initial fixed period is somewhat true, however the majority of deals are more influenced by swap rates, such as SONIA. The rate drop had already been priced in over the last month or so, and now with the uncertainty surrounding the US since the election, and the recent budget, rates are starting to creep up again.
- Comment on NHS-branded baby formula could prevent parents paying too much, watchdog says 1 week ago:
Our midwife from classes before our daughter was born explained it to us that all formula has to meet certain standards and have certain ingredients in it to qualify for sale in the UK, so you can guarantee each brand is providing a recommended amount of nutrition due to this.
We ended up going with Aldi’s formula, and if the other brands brought their prices more in line with that then I don’t see it as a bad thing. Charging through the nose for something that babies NEED if they aren’t being breast fed is absolutely abhorrent.

- Comment on HELLDIVERS 2 sees over 130K bad reviews on Steam as Sony double down 6 months ago:
The PC release of the game on Steam didn’t originally need you to link it to a PSN account in order to play. They’re about to make it mandatory, which will do two things: make it stupidly hard for players from certain countries to play as they can’t legally sign up for a PSN account; and also mean your data will be more vulnerable given how many times PSN has had data breaches.
