What is it lacking?
Plush carpet and air conditioning. No, it’s working fine — fun for me, and a handful of others don’t seem to mind.

That’s what I’ve been doing for a year or so…

Well, they’re not right if they were harping on “Jesus is coming again!” but other than that, I too might owe Mom & Dad and apology.
More clearly than ever in my life, I can see the end — the end of me, the end of America (whatever that really was), and the end of everything. It’s all so clear, it’s difficult to see anything else, even when I turn away.
- Comment on Don't ya know, guns can just ✨ magically appear✨ so any attempt to ban them is impossible. Dumb liberalssss tryna to take away my GOD GIVEN right to murder people!!11! 5 weeks ago:
Can dems stop banning guns?
Fear of Democrats banning guns is a long-time Republican and NRA talking point, but bogus. I sometimes hear Democrats (ie, ordinary people who vote blue) call for banning guns. The number of elected Democrats in any office, though, who propose banning guns, is very near zero, and that number becomes vanishingly smaller for higher officials, such as members of the US Congress.
- Comment on what is your opinion on mastodon and other fediverse microblogging sites?? as opposed to forum-type websites 3 months ago:
It’s like a light bulb reading these comments. I’ve barely touched social media, wondered why it’s of no interest to me, but suddenly I grok it. I prefer the intelligent conversation (and stupid takes too, like mine) of a forum like Lemmy, where there’s a much better IQ/batting average than ‘social media’.
- Comment on In general, people on Lemmy don't want high effort or high quality posts that take longer than 30 seconds to digest. 4 months ago:
If you’re doing it [anything] for an audience more than you’re doing it for yourself, you’ll always be disappointed.
