- Comment on Apple and Google deliver support for unwanted tracking alerts in iOS and Android 6 months ago:
This for tracking taggers like the thing Apple has, whatever it’s called. Not data tracking
- Comment on Fairbuds are Fairphone’s proof that we really could make better tiny gadgets 7 months ago:
Nothing’s fair with FP when they can’t give the option of a jack. So much for caring about the environment
- Comment on [deleted] 7 months ago:
That’s why I like Samsung. They at least tell you what kind of update you’re installing.
- Comment on Even Korea is starting to prefer an iPhone over a Samsung 8 months ago:
Imagine buying a 1TB S24U and still being called “poor”
- Comment on Teens, with mixed feelings about their own phones, say their parents need to log off 8 months ago:
I don’t see what’s so enticing about social media. I recently made an Instagram account but even then haven’t touched it all (10 minutes maybe every other day). For me it’s just a whole bunch of messaging to a friend
- Comment on [deleted] 8 months ago:
Bring back 2010-2019 smartphones, especially the ones with physical home buttons and notification LEDs
- Comment on Microsoft in their infinite wisdom has replaced the Hide Desktop icon with Copilot. 8 months ago:
“or the screen brightness not dimming”
This. Have this issue on my laptop, tried to fix it, didn’t work. Not gonna bother with Linux now when I’ve had this issue happen to me both on said laptop and my desktop
I can see the appeal in Linux and wouldn’t mind continuing to use it, but I will stick with Windows because I am more familiar with it and because I play games that can only run on it (Not saying this part to you but just in general)
- Comment on Affordable Android Excellence: Best Smartphones Under $200 in 2024 8 months ago:
You’re right, but all these phones will be better than any current budget. People who just need a phone to do basic things will probably not care updates, and they’ll be fine as long as they don’t download anything off random sites.
- Comment on ‘It went nuts’: Thousands join UK parents calling for smartphone-free childhood 8 months ago:
Just give your kid a decade old budget
- Comment on Those free USB sticks in your drawer are somehow crappier than you thought 8 months ago:
Who cares?
- Comment on The Fairphone 5 is less about what comes in the box and more about what you get over the years 8 months ago:
S24U comes with 256GB, not 128

- Comment on AI Launches Nukes In ‘Worrying’ War Simulation: ‘I Just Want to Have Peace in the World’ 9 months ago:

No way, Terraria mentioned in the wild
- Comment on TikTok sounds go silent as songs disappear from app 9 months ago:
And you still see people on it. What else is there on tiktok aside from stupid dances
- Comment on Steam no longer supports Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 10 months ago:
I used to be a Win8 user who had Steam
- Comment on LG says its new 4K projector is a ‘stylish art object’ 10 months ago:
Okay, but can we get a “LG says its new phone is an ‘epic comeback’”?
- Comment on Japan prepares regulation requiring Apple to allow sideloading 10 months ago:
Just give your kid an iPhone from AxiExpress
- Comment on What DID Apple innovate? 11 months ago:
Dinky little button iPhones have that let you assign certain actions to it (like the camera or changing the ringer mode)
Honestly wish androids had something like it
- Comment on What DID Apple innovate? 11 months ago:
You can consider this comment stupid but I found the action button pretty cool while I was toying with the iPhone 15s at a T-Mobile recently
- Comment on Spotify doesn't make profit from music streaming, despite having over 400M monthly active users, because it pays two-thirds of all its revenue to the rights holders. 11 months ago:

Because they actually look modern? Boxes are outdated designs now

“PMs and servers were hard to distinguish with”
Uh, no they weren’t.
- Comment on Discord users are cancelling their Nitro after new mobile layout update 11 months ago:
Don’t get how anyone likes the new UI. I downloaded the regular discord app (I use Aliucord, fortunately still on old UI) real quick and literally could not figure where anything was.
- Comment on There’s a new iMessage for Android app — and it actually works 11 months ago:
1200 for a shitty subpar phone
- Comment on Discord is on a quest to become a better messaging app 11 months ago:
Who the hell uses the inbox
It’s only useful when some random person pings you that got buried by hundreds of messages
- Comment on YouTube just made it harder to avoid ads with a tiny skip button 11 months ago:
Used to do that but recently switched over to ReVanced because Firefox pip would just show the corner of the webpage sometimes, or when I go to fullscreen the app would close, so I’d have to go back on Firefox again and fullscreen twice because the first time I fullscreen it doesn’t auto-rotate
- Comment on Firefox is giving Android users a sneak peek at its open extensions 11 months ago:
Now add tabs
- Comment on Samsung is planning a 400-500$ foldable for 2024 1 year ago:
Turn off adaptive brightness. I agree A0x series is utter shit but the A1x (particularly the A13 5G) is a very good low-end phone
- Comment on Samsung is planning a 400-500$ foldable for 2024 1 year ago:
Would rather have a new Samsung phone that’s tiny
