For the most part, it varies by material and state of matter, but assuming the chemical composition doesnt change and no material changes phase, then it is effectively linear.
- Comment on LG monitor asking about ad tracking preferences 3 weeks ago:
But when would you buy a computer monitor for netflix and NOT have something with access to netflix to plug into it? If they didnt have anything with netflix and wanted it built-in then why did they buy a monitor and not a TV?
- Comment on LG monitor asking about ad tracking preferences 3 weeks ago:
Exactly, so why would a PC Monitor need to have it’s own Netflix?

There are “two-way” remote start kits that have a display on the fob to report back AC state, engine remaining run time, and door lock state.

It is more for heat treatment of the metal after forming it.
- Comment on Microsoft formally deprecates the 39-year-old Windows Control Panel 2 months ago:
To be fair powershell is more recent and windows has always used the control panel for most configuration, they are kind of rug pulling everyone who learned to use it and there arent clear terminal alternatives, for instance, how do I calibrate a game controller’s axis with the terminal?

Buckwheat pillow, holds it’s shape well and you can flatten it out or bring it back together to adjust the thickness, big downside though you kind of have to mold your head into it when you go to bed, really just boils down to adjusting the thickness, laying on it, and rocking your head back and forth on it a couple times to shape it.

When (according to about:unloads) my average firefox tab is 70-230MB depending on what it is and how old the tab is (youtube tabs for example bloat up the longer they are open), a chat app using over 350 is a pretty big deal
- Comment on Arizona toddler rescued after getting trapped in a Tesla with a dead battery | The Model Y’s 12-volt battery, which powers things like the doors and windows, died 4 months ago:
To be fair I think it is there as a backup for low temperature climates, the Lithium batteries wont charge at temps that low, but they still could have setup the lithium batteries as an emergency backup for all the 12v stuff.

- Comment on iPhone owners say the latest iOS update is resurfacing deleted nudes 5 months ago:
But wouldn’t TRIM be the deleting he is requesting? Removing the charges would be setting all the bits in that block to the same value.
- Comment on How to opt out of the privacy nightmare that comes with new Hondas 6 months ago:
Cellular is usually how the vehicle provides Wi-Fi, it is effectively just a cell hotspot like you would get from a ohone carrier, but tied into the vehicle. So I think that would be the common way they get the data out.
- Comment on Can we all agree that whatever version of predictive text we have nowadays is crap, and has been for a long time? 6 months ago:
No, because words that use repetition of the same series of letters requires a delay between each letter input
My flip phone just let me press arrow right to skip the delay for repeat buttons.

I think they maybe meant the gender neutral they/them, which we turn to “it” for the inanimate?
